Lovely airbnb experience! We felt right at home at Casa cucu. It was perfectly clean and very well kept, wonderfully decorated. We really could not ask for (website hidden), Radio, Internet worked. The terrace was nice as well even though the temperature wasn't quite there yet. On that note, they have proper heating so you won't be cold in March :)
There is a supermarket very close by and a lovely fruit and vegetable stand only a few steps away, wish we had that kind of selection in Berlin :D. And if you don't want to cook, pizza can be bought down the street at the bakery that seems to be open until late in the night.
I highly recommend a walk at the lake side and in the old town. And of course a trip to Bracciano which isn't far away.
Verena was a fantastic host (we didn't meet Giovanni) and helped us with all our questions plus gave us very good directions.
It was a great experience to stay in Casa Cucu. The loccation was great; near the Lake, the town centre and Rome just 45 minutes away. The house was very neat and well equipped. Verena was very welcoming andere helpful!
We spent a week at casacucu at mid august and it we had the most amazing time. the house is just as seen in the pictures and the garden in the back is just beautiful with all the trees and flowers. we had breakfast outside on the table there and my daughter enjoyed the swings and little wooden house. It is the perfect rental for a small family with kids as a baby cot is available and two kids can comfortably sleep on the sofa bed in the living room and there are also some toys for little kids to be found in the dresser drawers. casacucu is located in the quiet residential area that is only about 5-10 minute walk from the center of the town and the lake and the distance can also be done with strollers. Giovanni and Verena are the sweetest and were very helpful with tips on where to go and what to see. The bed in the master bedroom is very large and comfortable and having two bathrooms with a tub and a shower is a great advantage.
We would definitely stay there again! Thank you Verena and Giovanni
We had a delightful time at Casacucu. The apartment was really clean and well equipped, and Verena had added essentials, including a very tasty bottle of their own home made olive oil. There was a farm shop within 100 metres, and a little supermarket nearby. The little patio was full of flowers, the outlook was onto a school. It's on a private road so very quiet. Anguillara is charming and not very touristy and crowded. The lake was about 15 minutes walk down the hill, which was good for helping walk off the pasta on the way back! Verena and her family are extremely welcoming, and were very helpful.
This house is great and we had a very relaxing stay in it. There is nothing that could be added to make it a better place as it already is a place where you feel at home. Everything is clean and Verena and Giovanni are kind persons always ready to help you when you need it. I highly recommend this place to couples an families who want to have a peaceful stay in the beautiful town of Anguillara.
October 2013. Only stayed 2 nights but wished we had booked for a week. Apartment exceeded our expectations along with the hosts. Verena was waiting for us on arrival at the arranged time at the gateway to the apartment building. Surprisingly she spoke excellent English so she had no trouble informing us about nearby sites and attractions to visit.
The apartment was on the ground floor and was clean and comfortable. Car parking was directly in front of the apartment which was located in a secured gated community. Highly recommend the local nearby grocery store and directly opposite, the fruit and vegetable stall.
Giovanni was excellent in helping us understand the workings of our rental car which we had picked up earlier that day in Rome.
Make sure you make the effort to visit the nearby town of Bracciano and its castle.
All in all had a great stay and hope to return one day.
We had a great time at CasaCucu! We stayed for two weeks in the lovely apartment. It is in a great location, only ten minutes from the water and right around the corner from the market. The internet didn't always work but that was only a problem at night. Otherwise we loved the apartment.
All i can say is that Giovanni is the best host ever. The pictures does not do justice! The house is amazing and comfortable and close to everything you need; walking distance to their beautiful lake and the amazing restaurants they have. We had a great time and me and my husband really appreciate what Giovanni did for us :)
