I am a designer and vintage buyer. I love the city, love Williamsburg and love to travel and get out the city as much as possible :)
Fantastic place to stay! Everything as described. A++++ :)
Emma's apartment is in a great location and she has made checking in and out very easy for the guest. The building itself is old and not in the charming way, however, the apartment itself is incredibly charming (as you can see in the pictures). Emma has thought of EVERYthing to make your stay cozy and relaxing: bath salts, check; candles and soft lamps, check; wines glasses and opener, check; all of the coffee making essentials, check; carefully chosen white linens and towels, check; perfectly curated vintage and found pieces, check; interesting books, check; key hook by the door, (email hidden) complete with a blanketed bench and coat/hat rack, check check check! I found myself wandering around the apartment on more than one occasion looking at all the pictures, paintings and little gems thinking what a neat person she must be. I would recommend this apartment if you appreciate these details and want the center of Williamsburg location as I went to Chalk gym 3 blocks away everyday because it was to icy to exercise outside and then had the option to head to either Isa or Reynard's (which very few locations in Willyb will let you do that routine comfortably and affordably). The only negatives of the stay are that the walls are very thin so you have to not mind hearing your neighbors at night, who are very nice btw, or the goings on below you on the street, which is actually not too loud. The other is that is bathroom is super small. It was comfortable and even cute for me but i am a small person and was alone. I would stay here again for sure, Emma is an amazing host, and I totally agree with her neighborhood finds list.
Emma was a great host, attentative towards our needs prior and during our stay. It was very much the perfect home away from home... cosy, clean, outfitted to a high standard and super central. We highly recommend Emma as a host and place to stay for anyone visiting nyc.
I stayed 10 days in Emma's apartment, which was exactly as pictured, extremely comfortable and made a refreshing change from staying in Manhattan. The apartment is located on a nice street in a good neighborhood, and in close proximity to the Bedford Avenue subway station. The location was quiet, but conveniently near to a number of bars, restaurants and the like. Emma was always very prompt and proper in replying to my emails, and I would certainly stay again if in the neighborhood.
We had a lovely stay at Emma's apartment. Its exactly as described in the text and pictures. Its situated very central in Williamsburg within walking distance of a lot of nice bars/restaurants/coffee places etc. The L-train takes you to Manhattan in a few mins. Due to a snowstorm there was a problem with the water in the building but Emma was very quick with answering emails and the problem got resolved quickly. Would come back.
We had a great stay at Emma's place. The apartment is exactly as described and seen in the pictures. Very cozy and perfect Williamsburg spot! Would definitely come back.
Apartment was exactly as it'a pictured. Super cute apartment and even better location. Thanks Emma!
A fantastic & cozy apartment two minutes from Bedford St Subway, surrounded by interesting restaurants, cafes and bars but still somehow quiet and peaceful. Main thing for me was that the apartment was clean and tidy with everything provided for.
Emma was more than helpful, easy to communicate with and no issues before or during the stay. We didn't cross paths but my trip was over Thanksgiving so we were both busy. Would definitely recommend/stay again.
Good little apartment in a brilliant location.
We had a wonderful stay at Emma's and felt at home straight away. She was a great host, flexible and easy to get in touch with answering all queries very quickly. The apartment was clean and full of character, and the location was perfect and close to Manhattan - it's around a 3 minute walk to the 'L' train and only one stop away from First Avenue, three from Union Square which takes around 10 minutes. The neighbourhood has great bars, shops and restaurants and we strongly suggest you check out Emma's local recommendations.
A tip of the hat to Emma and AirBnB for making our stay in New York a very enjoyable week.
Emma was the perfect guest! Extremely clean and respectful of the space. Surprised to come home to a handful of goodies to eat!
Highly recommend as guest.
