Jean-Francois has a killer location in the city and you can walk everywhere you need to go. There are several buses as well although we never bothered. He keeps a clean place and his day job (email hidden) makes him the ideal travel adviser. We will be coming back anytime we are in QC.
JF was a great host! He was friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I enjoyed his tips and ideas (both verbal and written) of ways to enjoy the city. We were able to explore both local hot spots as well as historic tourist locations. Expectations for our stay were very clear and the space was in good clean condition. Old Quebec was easily accessible by walking or biking. The neighbourhood was nice and quite with many good places to eat in close proximity. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this location.

Me and my girlfriend had a great stay at JF's place. It is located close to the old town and was just perfect for us. JF is a really nice guy, he provided us with lot's of cool ideas to do in such a short time.. He also gave us tips for other places we are visiting like Montreal, New York City. Unfortunately JF wasn't able to influence the weather so we had a pretty bad and rainy day for the one full day we stayed in Quebec but for the rest it was just great! Thanks!
Great host - lovely apartment - great location. Our first time in the city and Jean-Francois really helped us to find our way round. The bikes were great too! We felt very at home and the kitchen was really good. If you are coming to this city do stay here !
I had a great experience while staying at Jean-Francois' place. He was a terrific host from the get-go. Here are the must-know points:
1. (email hidden), he sent a well-indexed directory of places to eat and see (both as a PDF and as a searchable (website hidden) Earth map)
2. He graciously offered his 2 bicycles and 2 helments for riding around town
3. We tried his brunch suggestions and they were awesome!
4. He also knows the Gaspe mountains and all Quebec national park areas really well
The place was about 10 mins away from streets like Rue Saint-Jean by car. Though a bit away, I still think the exercise of walking or using the bike is great. I loved that the street parking was free and so easily available.
We had a fantastic stay at Jean-Francoise's house and had the pleasure to meet him in person which made our stay even more comfortable. He is a great host and provided us with lots of advise for exploring Quebec and the surrounding area. We took his well maintained bikes to discover the famous Montmorency falls (12 km from the house) and did a lot of walking around the city. The house is located in a quiet side street very conveniently in downtown Quebec and close to great restaurants and bars. We even extended our stay from 4 to 6 nights and can only recommend to stay here! We will definitely come back when visiting Quebec!
Jean- Francois is a very nice and easy going guest. I wish we could have spend more time together and wish him all the best in the mountains!
Jean Francois en funny Fanny were a delight to host. Such wonderfull people. Open, sharing, relaxed, sweet. I really recommend them to all hosts if you want to have nice people in the house.
