I am the fifth generation of my family to be born and raised in Los Angeles (a rare occurrence in such a new city) and for most of my childhood i lived just 20 minutes outside of downtown Los Angeles. I am 22 years old an am an aspiring architect. I am in my fourth of five years of the architecture undergraduate program at California Polytechnic University at Pomona, which is located about 30 minutes outside of downtown LA.
I am an avid traveler and have been lucky enough to explore many wonderful places across 5 different continents so far. Some of my most memorable trips include Kenya, China, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Venezuela, and most recently a trip to Peru this past November.
This summer, my boyfriend of four years Luis and I are planning on spending nearly 6 weeks traveling throughout Europe. This will be his first visit to Europe, so we are planing on spending 2-4 days in many of the major cities across both eastern and western Europe. Luis will be graduating with a mechanical engineering bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside this June before we leave. He is planning on spending the next two years getting his masters degree in engineering at the University of Southern California in downtown LA. Luis was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and speaks fluent Spanish.
We turned to Airbnb because we are both looking for an alternative to staying in hostels that will still accommodate a student budget. We are not interested in the party atmosphere of the hostels and would prefer some more privacy and a good night sleep. We love to travel by wandering around each new place we visit and sampling all of the different cuisines that each new culture has to offer. We can't wait to explore each of the 12 cities we plan to visit on our upcoming trip!
