I believe in carpe diem, which means any excuse to go travelling I'm in. My first trip overseas was to Tahiti in 1985, I 've done a few OE's backpacking since and loved them all. Top experiences include:
Hitchhiking around Ireland - got a lift from an off duty policeman- how safe is that
New York, New York-the best
Lake Como, Italy- gorgeous
Driving around the South Island of NZ, no place like home
Now married with a three year old daughter we do a different sort of travel, involving lots of parks and ice cream and rooms with running water.
I've been married for 10 years and my husband has just hit 40, so we are heading on a big adventure. We love sport, especially rugby union, well we are kiwis, and Lance (thats the hubby) is addicted to golf (no comment!) I'm also addicted to cricket, I blame my Dad.
I love books, genealogy, the beach, and spending time with good friends and family.
We are very responsible guests, who appreciate that people have opened their homes and treat all places like our own place, which we built and love.
