We had an amazing two nights at Pioneer Farm. The creamery was rustic, comfortable, and accommodating. We loved the property, and especially the rich history surrounding it. It offered everything we needed to enjoy some steaks and wine with old friends who have moved to the Warwick area. We especially loved the wood stove. Matt was a perfect host, always attentive to our needs, and we would definitely return in a heartbeat if our paths ever bring us to this area again!
We had a wonderful weekend at Pioneer Farm. The house is beautiful and spacious (more than big enough for the 2 couples and 3 kids that stayed there).
Matt was a gracious host and quickly responded to our every request, and was kind enough to introduce our kids to the two friendly horses who live on the farm. He spoiled us grown-ups with some local cider which was delicious!
The area is serene, and you're guaranteed a fantastic stay whether you choose to hang out around the house and have a bbq and a bon-fire (as we did), or if you choose to travel.

We stayed at Pioneer Farm for a long weekend in February 2015, it was two of us, our infant, our two friends and their toddler. We felt most welcome, Matt had an amazing fire going for us when we arrived, and was super friendly and helpful. Whenever we needed anything or had questions he was responsive right away.
The house was beautiful and the grounds were as well (lots of snow, and they even had sleds available for us to use). The house is very large and quite comfortable (and warm!), they provided wood for the fireplaces, and the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and the bathrooms were big and clean. I would 100% return to stay again.
It would be perfect for larger groups, but was nice for our small group too. Would love to see it in the warm weather, as it looked like there was a nice back porch with a large grill. The house is also close to the village where there are lots of shops and restaurants, and close to two grocery stores (and the Noble Pies shop). The house was also easy to get to (we were coming from New York City).
Great house looks exactly like the photos. Arrived with the fire burning and apple cider. Comfortable beds, lots of towels very clean. Very near the town so easy to go and explore the shops and buy food. Would like to come back in the warmer months to explore the grounds and hike.
Honestly I couldn't more highly recommend this place..
A remarkable house on 140 acres of beautiful rolling hills...
we came with a group of 8, and upon our arrival a fire was roaring in the fireplace, with 2 bottles of local hard cider on the table..
The house is great - two comfortable living rooms, each with working fire place, a large kitchen with dining table, and even a separate dining room. And it felt special to be staying in a house that was lived in by 6 generations of farmers, starting in the 18th century. All four bedrooms are large and comfortable..
And then the property just takes it over the top - rolling hills, vast fields, wooded areas, a stream, a pond, horses, beautiful views looking out to more distant hills and other farms - we didn't want to leave!
The hosts are very sweet, laid back, and accommodating - we were made to feel at home even for our short stay, and we truly had a special experience... We will be back again in the summer!
Our stay at Pioneer Farm was very pleasant with an exceptional host. Matt was very welcoming and we also had fresh fruits and apple cider awaiting us with crackling fireplace in a fierce winter afternoon. The place is amazingly well maintained and beautiful. Overall a perfect place for families as well as just friends. Looking forward to stay here again.
Great host, great house! Thanks. I'd come back.
My wife and I stayed in the Creamery at Pioneer Farm over the summer and had an amazing time. So we didn't hesitate to book another trip up there when we saw that the bigger Farm House was available.
Matt and his family go beyond just being hosts, they make you feel like a family friend. They're quick to accommodate, accessible and make sure you're all settled in. Quite the opposite of some key-under-the-mat rentals.
When we arrived, we were welcomed by a roaring fire in the fireplace and some local cider. We instantly felt welcome.
Our group was 4 adults and 2 kids, and our first impression was how spacious and tidy the home was. The bedrooms were big, the kitchen open and plenty of places to sit as a group, or on your own.
We spent our evenings in the kitchen preparing meals and nights in front of the fire in the living room. During the day we'd take quick walks on the property and longer walks on the Appalachian Trail (a short drive down the street).
It was the perfect escape. We will definitely book again.
Matt was a great client who took good care of our apartment and was easy to communicate with.
Mathew fue muy amable y cuidadoso
Raccomandiamo personalmente questo ospite, educato, simpatico e molto rispettoso delle regole della casa
