I am Italian and I have lived abroad for many years, in Australia, Hong Kong and the UK.
I love travelling and meeting people from all over the world and would very much like to welcome you in Italy, my beautiful country.
We had a fabulous time at this lovely, clean, precious cottage in Soriano Nel Cimino. Elisabetta (email hidden) that made us feel welcome and relaxed for our entire visit. She had great suggestions for things to do in the area (Don't miss Fagetta!) and her speaking English was a huge help for us. We loved cooking in the cottage and dining outside with the beautiful views. We took advantage of the lovely brick oven and made homemade pizzas. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable stay during our vacation in Italy. If you are looking for a real slice of authentic Italy, this is your spot!
Every word in the description of the property is true: the cottage is absolutely charming and the view is really breathtaking! This property must be the best-kept secret of Italy, since we were only the second couple to stay in the cottage since Elisabetta joined Airbnb. We strongly recommend the cottage as well as our hostess, who did everything to make us feel welcome and to make our stay a very pleasurable one. Everything you could need during your holiday is there: a nicely equipped kitchen, garden furniture, toiletries, a bottle of icecold water in the fridge upon arrival, an ironing board and an iron, a hair dryer, and much more. Even breakfast for the first few days was supplied. Wifi is also available, at a good speed. We enjoyed every minute of our holiday in Soriano nel Cimino and hope to come back someday.
Elisabetta was a charming and extremely helpful host during our visit The cottage has everything a traveller desires to relax and feel at home. The decor is stunning and comfortable. Elisabettas recommendations for dining places in Soriano were excellent. We also enjoyed local produce and wine while sitting on our patio overlooking the fabulous views over the valley below.
With our hired car we were able explore our local surroundings the highlights for us being the fabulous garden at Villa Lante, Farnese Palace and gardens and the ancient Park of Monsters at Bomarzo.
We hope to visit again and highly recommend this delightful cottage.

Elisabetta is one of the most elegant women I know...and this reflects in everything she owns. I have been to her house in Soriano and referenced it in my book in the opening chapter - The Black Dolphin - The house down the valley is a gem. They are a haven for a poet, for people that enjoy life, food, warm landscapes and unforgettable times. I would recommend a stay there to whoever get's a chance to.
I am very lucky to have Elisabetta as a good friend for many years now. She is a wonderful and generous host. I have stayed with her and the family in Soriano in Summer and Winter and both were fantastic experiences. The views from the house and cottage down the valley are amazing. We visited the towns and region around, ate very well, relaxed and went for lovely walks – a true Italian experience. Her home and cottage are full of character - very tasteful and comfortable too. When there were any local travel arrangements Elisabetta always helped me get to the right place at the right time and with the knowledge I needed. I hope you enjoy Soriano as I have.
I have known Elisabetta for many years and value her friendship and practical wisdom. We met over 25 yrs ago while working for a travel company in London. We met again in Australia, and the Uk in the last few years. She is easygoing with a creative streak and love for travel, and the arts. She (email hidden) and enjoys meeting new people. The town of Soriano, where she mostly lives while in Italy, is full of character and the accommodation in the villa is charming and comfortable. The views are fantastic. A very enjoyable experience.

I went to Uni with Elisabetta back in 1989 and we have been firm friends ever since! She gave me a place to stay when I was 'in-between' homes and I ended up staying for months! I even acted as her Au pair when she traveled to Italy and have visited her in all the places she has lived...
The view at the Soriano house is amazing and the charming cottage has a lot of character. The town itself is an amazing place and the local area is well worth exploring - especially the nearby estate gardens.
Make sure you visit this beautiful area and make sure Elisabetta's is the place you stay!
I've known Elisabetta for many years, and value her friendship highly. Her family home in Soriano nel Cimino is in a beautiful location and I am sure many people would enjoy staying there, seeing the countryside or visiting historic Viterbo nearby. Elisabetta is a warm hostess and a reliable person, and I am sure that all arrangements will be handled smoothly for her guests.
Elizabette and I met some fifteen years ago and I have been to her cottage near Viterbo. It is absolutely delightful with lovely garden and an atmosphere of an old tastefully furnished villa . The garden are dellightful with many interesting pots and pieces of frieze.
We have visited many times. There are the simply beautifu Lante gardens nearby as well as many others such as Sancro Bosco di Bomarzo and palazzo Farnese di Caprarola. They are many archeological delights in Viterbo the home of the Etruscans. I have many many happy memories of my visits there
I would highly recommend this cottage if you are interested in Italian lifestyle with good food and good wine with lots of interesting places to see.
Ho conosciuto Elisabetta per lavoro e poi siamo diventate amiche. Elisabetta è gentile, discreta e amante del bello. Le sue case saranno accoglienti e belle come lei.
