I am in my mid 40s and work as a curator at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House. My partner, Paul, is in his early 40s and works as a Systems Administrator for a technology company and is quite nerdy. We live in Canberra, the capital city of Australia. We have an extended family in Australia (Canberra and Brisbane) but no children ourselves.
We travel overseas every couple of years - often in association with attending conferences or participating in dance weekends (Irish Set Dance or Scottish Country Dance). We like to use more unusual self-contained accommodation (if we can) and sometime travel by unusual forms of transport (eg, canal boat). When we travel we enjoy visiting museums, galleries, heritage sites and national parks. We also enjoy sampling the local cuisine.
We are cognisant of the fact that Airbnb hosts are opening up their private homes to visitors and we will treat your home with care and respect.
My life motto? Give thanks for the ordinary and extraordinary.
