Response from Oana:
Kevin's one bedroom apartment we rent had 2 single beds, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Both single beds were broken and when you touched them they fell apart. Thus, for 7 nights, I was forced to sleep on an uncomfortable couch in the living room while Dan slept on one of the broken beds althought we were charged for good real beds!!! Before leaving, we had a friendly and politely discussion with Kevin in which we told him that buying a new double bed is a must if he wanted to continue hosting. He said that he was afraid that there was not room enough for a double bed. At this point, I suggested him to move or remove the old TV and the cupboard from that room and use the space for a new bed. My argument was that for international travellers a good bed is much more important than an old TV with all programs in a language that they do not understand any single word. When you are a guest what would you prefer, a broken single bed that you were afraid to lay on + an old TV or a new and comfortable double bed?
