I love traveling
We had a great stay at Santa Ana. The hosts are very receptive and will go out of their way to help you out. The place is clean and cheap and suited our needs perfectly! We were out all day and mostly just ate cereal in the morning but there are a few facilities if you wanted to cook. The area is quiet and I felt quite safe. I was there with my 11 year old niece and a friend and we had a great stay.
It a fab place to stay and the price helps you be able to do all the things you want to do in NY.
Also, THE WIFI IS EXCELLENT!
I highly recommend this place.
It's noisy since you need to share room with so many people!
It's ok. We stayed 5 nights here. 4 nights are good. But we have a terrible experience there. It's so nosiy since you need share room with so many people.
Charming, funky, colorful, arty, great location. Right in the heart of Greenpoint, an easy walk to anything you need. Do bring your earplugs as the early morning work day truck traffic can be loud. Part of the charm is the historic building but that brings some minor rough edges with it. The stairwell up to the 4th floor is narrow, the plumbing is slow and the appliances are basic, but none of that really got in the way. The bed was excellent.
Elisa was very helpful and her communication was cheerful and prompt.
We would stay again.
Great, easy place to crash. Everything went smoothly enough and would definitely love to stay again. Thanks guys!
This is generally a great place for staying, with a view conditions. First of all, the room is amazing, bright, spacy, wardrobe for clothes/luggage and the bathroom is amazing. Generally a great place for couples or people who prefer some privacy.
This place however is more run as a hostel, as it has 2 other rooms that can fit another 4 people in. The two rooms are in the same house but use a separate staircase outside the house, so with the lockable door to the sunny private room, the kitchen is the only real place where you might meet the other people.
The owners live in an appartment nearby and come by every day. The location of the house was the thing that got us worried a bit in the beginning as it is a few stations off williamsburg in an area that is in a developping state, like what williamsburg would have been a couple of years ago. It is fine to walk through the streets during normal day & evening hours but it's not an area where girls would want to walk home late at night alone as it can feel a little sketchy. In saying that however, we never had any troubles and the walk from the subway station to the appartment only takes about 5min.
The shared kitchen is clean, has a brand new stove and all the basics that are needed for cooking & eating. The hosts are very friendly and helpful & have been very proactive about making our stay a great experience. The overall cleanliness of the house is spotless, and also the room is prepared almost like a hotelroom, so you will get spoiled ;)
So overall, with being aware of the area around, this is a great place to stay, definitely worth the money and I would recommend it.
Perfect !!! My first time in New-York, good location to do many things and I have met a lot of good people. Thank you very much !
Staying with Elisa was more than comfortable and the room was not that big, but has really everything you need! The Subway is close to the house. We enjoyed a lot!
My boyfriend I stayed in a private bedroom with bathroom and it was a good value for the 50$ we paid at that time. The shared kitchen was not fully equipped but Marcia was still setting it up. Marcia and Elisa were great hosts and recommended us some places to go in the neighbourhood and were really helpful. If you are looking for privacy the place is fine but the hosts are not living there so don't expect to make great contact with them. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Perfect guest. Clean, silent and respectable.
