Rochelle was very nice she briefly greeted us upon arrival, then we didn't see her again. Her house was exactly what we expected and we felt right at home. It was also clear that Rochelle took her time setting up the place with us in mind, by doing her best to toddlers proof.
Rochelle (email hidden)e was friendly, helpful and at the same time gave us space. She also treated my very sore back with a great massage.
The house had everything we needed and was clean and nice.
The neighborhood is quiet and the surroundings of Glen Ellen were beautiful! Strongly recommend dinner or lunch at the Glen Ellen Inn and wine tasting at neighboring Valley of the Moon!
Response from Rochelle:
Thanks again Karin, I enjoyed meeting your family. Hope your journey home was easy... Let me know about the new baby...
Rochelle's place in Glen Ellen was one of those instances when you find just what you are looking for when you are not even sure what you are looking for. The home is situated in a private and calm setting (which we needed to decompress from professional demands) and very accessible to Sonoma Wine Country and a plethora of vineyards, wineries and wine tasting options (which we were eager to explore). In addition, we went hiking in the canyons and forest in a nearby Park, and Paul found the opportunity to play a round of golf at a nearby course. In summary, Rochelle's place provided the opportunity to everything we wanted or to do absolutely nothing and relax on the back patio if we wished.
Rochelle was gracious, friendly and helpful when we had questions. We enjoyed chatting with her, and yet she was not the least bit intrusive. We sincerely hope you will try Rochelle's haven if you are in the area. But we also hope it does not become so popular that it would be unavailable when we return for another stint in Wine Country. Thanks again, Rochelle.
Response from Rochelle:
thanks Julie and Paul I enjoyed having you here and please find your way back..
I enjoyed our rustic vacation in this cottage. The neighborhood is very quiet, and everything else is in close proximity. The house has all you can imagine for the comfortable vacation.
Cozy. Relaxing. Quiet.
You truly feel like a welcomed guest staying at a friend's home. It is the ideal location for visiting wineries, hiking in the nearby state parks and a trip to the ocean.
A few local places to check out:
-Full Breakfast @ Bakery in Glen Ellen
-The Wine Shop in downtown Sonoma (you can taste wines by small production producers - 5 tastes for $5 or 10 tastes for $10; if you are into vino be sure to ask about their wine club)
-If can only visit one winery go to Martinelli in Winston (a little out of the way, but true to WS reviews they produce some the best wines coming out of Sonoma, plus tasting free if buy a bottle)
Thank you, Rochelle. We hope to return (website hidden),

Rochelle's cottage is cosy and extremely well taken care of. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to beautiful attractions such as several Regional Parks and wineries. We'll be back!
Absolutely loved our stay at Rochelle's. The home was warm and welcoming and it truly felt like a "home away from home". The cottage is impecably clean and comfortable. It was in a perfect location to Sonoma and Napa wine country and staying at Rochelle's made us feel like locals. Easy to get anywhere from here. We are recommending it to others and hope to return.
Lovely and comfortable, perfect for us since we were spending time visiting family, and gave us the opportunity for private down time. Rochelle was available, although we only met her briefly, but checked to make sure that we were taken care of. Even though we only were able to spend 2 nights on this visit, we would definitely stay again for a longer time. Thanks Rochelle. Lori and Michael from Houston, TX
The house was perfect for my wife and me. We really enjoyed our stay in Glen Ellen. It is close to many awesome wineries and I recommend bringing a bike to go into town and to visit some of the tasting rooms (Valley of the Moon, Imagery, Mayo, Wellington and others). I will definitely be back to Glen Ellen!
We styed at Rochelle's place as it was close to a wedding we attended at BR Cohn Winery (a very short drive, or 25 minute walk). The house was perfect for our needs, had just enough space for the three of us (two adults and a 1 yr old) and was packed out with all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need.
Rochelle had added some nice touches like leaving kids toys and books about the place which was great.
For those that are unfamiliar with the area, Glen Ellen is a lovely little town center around 1.5 miles from the property. There are a number of great cafes and restaurants there. There are numerous great wineries and olive oil producers very close by, so (email hidden) to be if you are keen on your food and drink.
Thanks for the stay!
