I live in Santa Rosa, California. I own the local yarn shop here, and have a lovely home that I like renting out on Airbnb!

The pictures of the studio (on the inside) are different than how it was setup. There is a larger table inside which was nice for meals and playing cards. There are no windows inside the studio - which wasn't really a problem - the air just got stagnant while sleeping. An extra fan or two would solve this. The bathroom requires you to walk thru a "shared space" - again not a big deal, but be warned you won't be strutting to and from the studio in your towel. The pool was relaxing and a great feature, especially as we had just run a marathon the day before.
We stayed here for the Santa Rosa half marathon and we had an awesome time. As advertised, this place is right by the pool and we took full advantage of it. If you want to use the slide, turn on the water with the valve that is on the wall underneath it.
The photographer that took the pictures on the listing is maybe a little bit too talented, the place isn't quite as big as it looks. However we were four people and had no issues of space. We found the poolhouse to be clean and the kitchen to have everything we needed. The silverware wasn't super clean but it wasn't a big deal to clean them up before eating dinner.
Our friends slept on the pull-out couch and did not have a comfortable night sleep. In hindsight, they said that they'd rather just take the folding mattress that is on top of the dresser and put it directly on the floor.
Whenever we were spending time outside, Justine's dog and cat would come out and hang out with us. They're both nice animals, but you might want to pass if you're allergic or anti-pets :)
If we were in the area again, we'd consider staying in the poolhouse again.
Great host. Everything was as expected. Perfect location for the Santa Rosa Marathon.
We chose to stay in Santa Rosa as a base during a visit to the wine country and Justine's poolside studio fit the bill perfectly. We felt like we could come and go without disturbing our host in the main house. It felt very private and secluded. We didn't actually even meet Justine, but she was very quick to respond to any messages we left her through AirBnB and she even took the time to check in with us and if there were any recommendations she could help us with, which was a nice touch.
She had left a very detailed welcome guide/ instructions with all the information we needed as well as a local guide of places to eat/ shop etc.
There are a few places within easy walking distance of the studio but the town centre was a longer walk. Parking was very easy outside the main house, so we didn't have to worry about that when taking the car.
We didn't go in the pool, but it was made clear from the notes left that had we wanted to, we would have been more than welcome to use it. The kitchen was fully fitted, with a sizable fridge and bits and bobs to use, although we only used the fridge for a few things, we did no cooking. We also had full access to Wi-Fi which proved incredibly useful as when travelling from abroad costs on mobiles can quickly add up.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at this poolside studio. Can't finish the review without mentioning Olive the dog, she was a great little character and made us chuckle!
Justine's place is completely under-rated by her description. It is by far one of the best AirBNB rooms I have rented. You are left to your own. It was a hot summer day and the pool out back was fantastic plus the pool house is adorable! There is an upright piano in the entrance way and I played for about an hour the first morning. It was perfectly tuned. The room was comfortable. The house is creatively designed and decorated. It is a gem and I hesitate to give it the 5 stars it deserves because I want to keep it for myself. (I did give 5 stars) I will definitely be back! Thanks Justine.
Justine has a lovely house and it's amazing that she shared it with us. Olive and Jewel are really sweet too! My only regret -- we didn't have enough time to enjoy the pool! Thanks again, Justine!
The poolside studio was just as charming as it was made out to be. We loved the weekend we spent at Justine's home. She gave us plenty of space, but it was nice knowing she wasn't far if we needed anything. A morning dip in the pool was the perfect way for me to start the day.
Beautiful charming home and family. Close to downtown, clean and comfy. Really loved it and recommend
This was one of our favorite airbnb stays of all time. The poolside studio is superbly decorated and equipped with everything you need for a homey stay. We really enjoyed making pancakes in the morning and reading by the fantastic pool before heading out to wine country. The studio was quiet, private, relaxed and within walking distance of some great restaurants. Justine was also a quick and thoughtful communicator.
Justine and her family were fantastic guests in every way. Loved having her and would welcome back anytime!
It was nice to meet another Airbnb host! Justine was great. She was friendly and sweet and left the place in great shape upon her departure.
Justine and her kids were terrific guests! the place was tidy and the kitty seemed well-loved!
Although Justine and I never got to connect due to her last minute stay, she was in constant communication & respectful of our house rules.
Justine is easy going and flexible. It was fun meeting another airbnb host and sharing our hosting experiences. She was neat and clean and left the room as she found it. I would welcome her back anytime.
We highly recommend Justine to any and all airbnb hosts! She and her group were a model guest and we really enjoyed her stay with us!!
What a pleasure it was to meet Justine. It was great sharing our AirBNB stories. Come back anytime!
Justine came to Minneapolis to bring her daughter to college. Though they were mostly out shopping for the new dorm room digs and attending Orientation, it was nice to talk with them. They were eager to find good eats and thrift shops nearby, of which are my specialty. They were quiet, clean and overall great guests. Welcomed anytime back to the Ranch!
