Hi there my name is Tello. I'm a native Texan and have been living in New York for over a year an a half. I am a huge fan of traveling (spent a semester abroad in Milan, Italy), but since I have not had the chance to explore as much as I wanted, I figure I can open up my apartment and see how much of the world can come to me.
Things I Love:
- Electronic music (of all kinds)
- Any travel destination that has a beach
- Great Cuban, Mexican, or Indian food (especially if it has pork)
- How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Breaking Bad
- Making spontaneous last minute decisions of almost any kind
My particular travel style is more of a "go with the wind" mentality. In my experience, nothing ever goes according to plan. It's better to be decently prepared, ready to think on your feet, and flexible to seize opportunities as they happen.
"Preparation no more spoils the chance for spontaneity and serendipity than discipline ruins the opportunity for genuine self-expression in sports, acting, or the tea ceremony." -Phil Cousineau
Given my travel style, I typically leave people to do as they wish. I am always available to help/offer suggestions if needed and, when I'm not at work, I'm always open to swapping travel stories over coffee/beers/dinner.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness...Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of earth all of one's lifetime." - Mark Twain
