The staff was friendly but the room wasn't nice at all. There was mold on the walls, hair and insects on the bedsheets and the toilet flooded on the same evening we arrived. The shower looked disgusting. After telling the staff we wanted a new room, we had to wait until the next day.. The room we got on the next day was a little bit better, but still not as clean as we expected.. All in all i wouldn't go there again.
I had a great time. It was well located, clean and comfy and most of all great staff thanks :).
It was a great place! It was very close to the main square where they had a ton of restaurants. Upon our arrival they offered us drinks and turkish delights while they prepared our room for us. Once our room was ready they brought our bags upstairs for us as well. It was an excellent place to stay.
It was exactly what we wanted. Local to all the main sights. Nice people. Decent breakfast.
I read reviews on here before going and people mentioned train noise. You could hear then every now and then but nothing of concern.
Small but clean. Unfortunately we couldn t communicate very well with the clerk working at the place because he could not speak English.
The room was still OK. The problem was the toilet. I was there with my wife. After the first evening flushing the toilet was no more possible. The next day we told this to Erden and what happened during the whole day? Nothing. Too bad. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody and wouldn't go there for a second time. The other room we received the first night was much better (they were overbooked, our luck!). The worst thing on this whole story was the guy on the desk. He didn't even present himself to us by his own name. The only words I heared from him were "Welcome" and "thanks" when we left. The brother of Erden, Erdan, was much more friendly and talked really a lot more. He was 10 times more concerned about us and that we can have a nice stay. He was the only reason for the second star. The person on the picture of Erden I never saw during our entire stay.
This place is a great choice to explore Istanbul. It`s right next to the Blue Mosque, Haiga Sophia and Topkapi Palace and the small Bazar. We were picket up at the airport and brought right to the Hotel where we were cordially welcomed by Erden`s brother. The entrance to the hotel as well as the room are very clean and keeps what is promised by the pictures. There is a long window on the side so the room is full of light. Towels and breakfast were included. There is also a nice rooftop where you have a beautiful view over the Bosporus and Asian side. Unfortunately it was still a bit to cold to be out there at night. The only thing to consider is, if you go out at night you have to take a cab to come back; it takes a while to walk from Beyogul area back to the hotel. Rethinking the whole trip it was a great choice to stay there.
Everything was fantastic, the location is perfect because Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque etc are all within walking distance. Erden was very helpful and had some great recommendations. Some people mentioned the train passing as being an issue but it didn't bother us at all but we also live in a city and not in the burbs so we are used to noise.
Very nice place Guesthouse and apartments directly at the heart of ,stanbul at the Taksim square. Its a ideal place to explore the magıcal city of istanbul Enjoy it ...
