This spot was a great place to stay, I stayed here for 3 months to work on a research project at Brown University. Glenn and Virginia were kind, welcoming and professional beyond levels I expected. They were always willing and available to answer questions or offer support on any matter. Greta the dog and Mr. Big the cat were also impeccably behaved. The room was really nice along with the conjoining study area with desk and lamp and nice large bathroom where I took an excessive amount of baths. The room is in fact more like mini studio, and Glenn provided me with a high quality bike which was perfect for getting around Providence, a really nice city. There are lots of nice places to eat nearby on Broadway and a convenient laundromat. All in all a brilliant spot, good facilities combined with lovely people who are happy for you to interact with them as much or as little you desire.
Personable hosts offering a pristine private suite in a beautifully restored historic home. Don't hesitate to book!
I had a wonderful stay with Glenn and Victoria. They are both very friendly and welcoming, and the suite is a pristine, spacious and relaxing place to come home to after traveling around Rhode Island.
Very comfortable and private space -- and I do mean space, a room and a half. It was great to have a work table and place to sit. Room and bath well equipped, neat and clean. Glenn provided room in the refrigerator and cabinets for my groceries, and it was a boon to be able to sit in the lovely garden to have dinner and read after a long day at the conference. Transport to the convention center was easy with 3 or 4 direct bus lines stopping at nearby corners.
Glenn and his wife, Virginia, were friendly and welcoming, but respectful of privacy, which allowed me a great deal of independence.
Fantastic place to stay. Huge room with attached studying area. Glenn is friendly and responsive. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Providence.
Terrific space - extremely clean and comfortable. Nice work area if you are traveling for business. Quiet and private. Very central location with easy access to the downtown and surrounding area via Uber, cab or public transportation if you don't want to rent a car. Glenn was a nice host and is able to provide recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. I enjoyed my short stay there.
Glenn provided my girlfriend and I the perfect place to relax and explore Providence. The room, sitting room, and bathroom were all in pristine condition.
The location is great to walk to downtown from (20 min) day or night. The local area has great coffee/dinner/ food options as well.
It's a gorgeous room - actually three rooms: a bedroom, study and bathroom, all beautifully appointed. The bed was as comfortable as they come. There were multiple excellent places to get a nosh in the neighbourhood, from a true-blue dining car to the finest in bistro dining. It was far enough away from downtown to be able to leave work behind in a quiet area, but close enough to easily walk back to work there in the morning (after a stop at the bakery along the way to get an almond croissant and espresso - both so good I repeated this ritual five days in a row). Glenn was very accommodating, and we were able to sort out all comings and goings without any fuss or muss. Altogether, a great stay.
Wow! Beautiful, amazing, peaceful, clean, peaceful, historic, quiet, fast wifi, ample hot water, parking. Even if you don't believe in feng shui you will agree that this space is zen. Loved everything, especially the desk.
The rooms were lovely: a bedroom and a "study". The bed was comfortable, and the long desk great for my computer and papers, and also for eating private meals. There is a nice view of the park across the street from the bedroom windows, and of the back yard from the study windows. Glenn was very friendly and made me feel welcome, which was important since I was there for a month. Glenn left plenty of room for my food in the refrigerator, which was great since I ate quite a few meals there. There are some very nice restaurants near there. I especially enjoyed the Federal Hill Italian neighborhood.
Virginia and her mom could not have been more perfect as my first Airbnb guests. They left my place spotless - couldn't tell whether they used the facilities. Virginia left me a lovely note expressing her appreciation of my accommodations. I am sorry I was not able to meet her face-to-face, as I was traveling, but I felt a sense of connection and would certainly welcome her again as a guest whenever she needs a place to stay.
