Young at heart "Baby Boomer" who has loved travelling since my first trip overseas at age 19. Husband, family, good food, good wine, good coffee are things I can't live without and some of my favourite travel destinations are Outback Australia, Tasmania, New York, Chicago and Rome. As Professional Motel Managers, we have an excellent understanding of what is expected of a guest and as experienced house sitters we have consistently demonstrated respect and care for others' properties and animals, being asked back several times by the same people. We have quite an ad-hoc approach to travel, avoiding highly organised itineraries and tours. We'd rather be hanging in a cafe talking with locals than queueing up to go into a cathedral. Mind you, we're not opposed to the Sistine Chapel or Eiffel Tower.I One of the main reasons we're going with AirBnb on our next trip is because it seems to fit our style of travel and several family and friends have returned from OS recently and told us of the great experiences with AirBnb and their hosts - for us it's all about experiences and sometimes the best ones just can't happen when you're staying at a 5 star hotel surrounded by other tourists.
