Elizabeth's place is wonderful for a perfect stay in Bologna. It is beautifully decorated and you really can't beat the location as it is close to everything. Elizabeth was an amazing host and she seems more than willing to do all she can to make the stay in her home inviting and comfortable. I really admire how she has found the balance of raising two boys while opening her home to other people from all over the world. It shows in her boys as they are extremely charming and intelligent. What a great place for any visitor!!!
I had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth's - the apartment is in an amazing location in the centre of Bologna, the room is perfect too.. I really loved her son Cesare so much:) Thank you for everything Elizabeth:)
I had a wonderful stay with Elizabeth and her family. They are friendly and welcoming, the apartment is beautiful and centrally located, and the room offered a lovely sense of privacy and thoughtfulness.
Très bel appartement en plein centre de Bologne. Elizabeth est vraiment très accueillante et de bon conseil pour les visites et les restaurants.
Un endroit à retenir !
L'appartement st magnifique et Elizabeth est une fantastique hote :)
I had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth's - the apartment is in an amazing location in the centre of Bologna, the room is perfect and has everything you could need (including a little drawer of toiletries!) and the private bathroom was very clean with a fantastic shower! Elizabeth and her son Brando were so kind and helpful - thanks to you both! Highly recommended!
My stay at Elizabeth's was very pleasant, comfortable and safe - an important point for me, since I was travelling alone, and I had to make a last-minute reservation. I finally had a very nice time chating with Elizabeth and strolling around the neighbourhood. I would certainly recommand her BnB, especially for women and mothers travelling with a child.
Elizabeth was a good host, she was nice to talk with and gave me a lot of good information about living in Bologna. She was also kind enough to drive me to my next destination near the train station.
I only met one of her sons, he was friendly and polite.
A lovely flat in a great central neighborhood. Elisabeth is an attentive host and a very interesting person. I would very much like to repeat the positive experience! :)
Bologna was [is] great. The food - in restaurants and bars and in the shops - was great. The Bologna philosophy is great; as one pope is alleged to have said, "only in Bologna". The town is great. The walks are great. Even in the depth of winter. You should go there. And if you're there on NY eve head to the square (after dinner). They have this quirky tradition of setting fire to a giant object that symbolises the year past and to honour the change of years. We had a burning garden watering can about three storeys tall. Right there in the middle of the crowd blazing into the midnight sky. I'd never seen that before.
But wait on ... this is meant to be about Elizabeth's apartment. Elizabeth's apartment was great. We had the whole place, including the terrace (but sadly it was a bit chilly for too much outdoor eating). It is big and fitted our family of five into the three bedrooms easily. Although our elder teenager had to squeeze into one of the smaller beds. But after all the walking in the daytime, that was fine. The apartment was tidy and neat and secure and there's a big dining table that we could all fit around on the few occasions we didn't eat out. It is also well situated in the historic part of the city; but check your maps as there is a direct way into town and there's the roundabout way into town. It took us a few trips to figure that out. And make sure you get Elizabeth's guide to eating. V helpful. So, if you’re going to Bologna (and you should – it also a great base for train day trips: Venice, Florence, Milan, Modena) stay at Elizabeth's. Especially if you’re a family.
Elizabeth was amazing!
Since she's an AirBnB host too she really knows how important is the communication and the respect of the rules, so she couldn't be a better guest :-)
We had fun talking switching from English (her native language) to Italian (which she speaks perfectly).
She was really careful and discreet and I really really appreciated a guest like her.
She will be welcome anytime and I wish her all the best with AirBnb.
I stayed at Elizabeth's apartment in Beautiful Bologna Italy more than once.
The area that the apartment is located in central to everything you could need while visiting Bologna.
Pretty local sidewalk cafes, museums, shopping...just being able to hop on the bicycle and roam around town was truly liberating.
Elizabeth is the perfect host to take care of you while you are jet lagged, plan fun things for you to do, excellent recommendations for traditional Italian restaurants on a budget.
The apartment is airy, very comfortable and is only made complete by the presence of her two boys ( they were out and about with their friends most of the time).
The room was very private and cozy.
The house overall has a very positive energy...something about the elegant converted convent I suppose.
