I am a 29 year-old cheerful Chicago native who has been living for the past few years as an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea. I have come back to America in 2013 for April and May for a long overdue visit to family in friends. And some good ol' fashioned touring when I have down-time!
My travel style is not touristy at all--- I very much love culture and I am more interested in the nature of specific neighborhoods and the people who live there than getting the latest quick photo op in front of the famous place that everyone else who goes there has too. I want to go slowly through my destination, let it introduce itself to me, and get a real feel for its true identity behind tourist hype. This may make me sound snobby, but I assure you I love a great conversation and I am the most curious and respectful person you will meet!
As for being a guest, I am very quiet and since I am a morning person I don't usually stay out too late. This means a very reliable and responsible guest for you! I always try to leave things as they looked when I first came, and to be as nice and fun of a guest as possible. :)
(Since I am just starting on airbnb, I want to assure you proof of my character--- if you contact me I can give you vouched recommendations from other people I've stayed with through a similar website abroad~*)
One last thing about me: I also absolutely love learning new languages and cultures, and I currently speak English, Spanish, and Korean pretty well! This has led me to travel and live abroad while hiking, trying new foods, and taking plenty of photos with great new friends.
And of course, if you host me, I will always have my door open to you if you ever want to travel to Korea! ;) If I host you, I can introduce you to great restaurants (and even some of their owners) and I would love to cook for you myself.
To sum it up, I am very friendly, cheerful and respectful, love to travel responsibly, and hope that I may get to know you soon! Thanks for being on airbnb!!!
