We liked our neighbors so much that when they went away, we couldn't bear the thought of anyone else living next door. Not full time, anyway. So we bought their house, and made it available as an occasional rental.
We've since moved to Albuquerque, where Shannon works as a librarian and Patrick fiddles around as a free-lance cycling journalist. And now that one of our old friends has returned to Colorado Springs to occupy The House Back East®, we're making our own former house available as an occasional rental.
We've spent a quarter century in Colorado Springs, off and on, and are happy to share what we know about the town, whether it's recommending a restaurant, a shop or the best place to ride your bike.
Shannon is hard to catch, having full-time, honest work. But Patrick works from the house in Albuquerque and is easily reached. Even easier to contact are our friends Ted and Diane, who caretake the Colorado Springs home for us. So don't be shy about reaching out with any questions or concerns.
