Lynda is a GREAT host. She welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the place. She is very friendly and nice and gave us information about places to visit and eat around her home. Whenever I had questions, she was always a text away and responds promptly.
The unit is very comfortable and interesting. A big bonus is the mango tree out front - the mangoes are about the best I've ever tasted. Just be careful not to leave open fruit around as ants will be invading the unit. Overall it is a great place to stay - very quiet but close to a lot of things. I'd recommend staying here only if you have a rental car because there is a spot to park your car in the front (super bonus points) and you will be driving distance to a lot of things.
If I ever visit Honolulu again (I will), I'll highly consider coming back here again!
We had a few minor issues with Lynda's place though, she always attended very quickly and resolved. Place is in the quiet neighborhood (there are dogs but quiet mostly) and location was main reason we chose. Not a place to enjoy view or spend many hours during day - but perfect for someone in and out, being active.
My boyfriend and I rented Lynda's space out for a week and it was a dream. It's a quiet little place and was perfect for our needs. This was our first time on the island and we wanted a calm place to come back to after our busy days and Lynda's place gave us just that. It was super nice staying away from the Waikiki area and all the tourist. We're not to big on cities. But the place is still close enough to everything that there is to experience. It was also nice that we got half of the garage area for our rental car, so we didn't have to find parking or pay for it somewhere.
I never got to meet Lynda face to face but she responded to any messages I left within minutes and made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. I would rent this space again in a heartbeat.
We will definitely be back to the island again! We're smitten!
We had good communications. The neighborhood is exactly as described. The place is clean and well taken care of. The bed is comfortable and the futon sleeps another person fine. The house manual has a lot of useful information.
Lynda's place was perfect for 3 of us to stay during a week-long trip to Honolulu. It was bigger than we thought it was going to be, and so convenient/close to everything. Mahalo Lynda for having us! We can't wait to come back to Hawaii.
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed staying at Lynda's place. It is located at the sweet spot which is not too far from Waikiki, but also not close enough to deal with traffic and noises. Lynda and her husband are very accommodating, and having a chance to play with their pet chameleon is a plus! We had a great time staying there and will definitely be back.
It is a very nice apartment, quiet and conveniently located. Driving anywhere is easy; plenty of restaurants within few minutes. Hosts are very responsive and friendly.
Great location. Close to Waikiki, Ala Moana and tons of restaurants. Secure parking a plus. Lynda and her family were super easy to deal with -- easy check in and check out, and quick to respond. The unit was larger than we thought it would be, and the view off the lanai was great (honolulu city lights). Not a lot of tourists in these parts which for us is a huge plus!
We got a pleasant greeting from the host's parents. The car parking space was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay. The nearby restaurants were great, too.
Lynda was great. Very honest, reliable, and even cleaned our condo before she left.
It was very nice to host Lynda. She's a very interesting, polite and friendly person!
Linda was a great guest. Very quite and considerate. Observed house rules and communicated well.
Linda and her parents were some of the nicest and most interesting that I have had. They were so quiet I hardly knew they were here and I was sorry to see them leave. Mom and Dad fell in jove with our area away and I showed them the back way (little or no traffic) into Silverado/Napa Trail that was ended with a stop at Larry's Produce. They loved the open market.
Linda and my son arranged for a 1/2 day on the Delta with a stop at the Waterfront/Harbor area of Suisun. Another hidden treasure of the Upper Bay Area Carquinez Straits and the mothball fleet. What is now left of WWII battle vessels on a boat excursion but not enough time for fishing.
They were fortunate to have some great weather and sunshine every day with temps in the upper 60's to low 70's. They surely did a lot in a few days even with Linda at a Napa Conference center.
Great and considerate guests!!!
Linda and husband were great guests. They were very friendly and easy going. They left the apt very clean. We would love to have them back.
What an amazing experience! Yang and Lou brought home seaweed and pipi'i from the beach ( these are very tiny shelled sea creatures that make love appies :o). We had the pleasure of a friend of mine join us who told us stories of Hawaiians fishing and the various edibles on the sea shore! It was a great time! If you have a chance to host Yang and Lou...do it, you will really enjoy it!
