I love traveling--in the real world as well as in the world of film and books--and speaking other languages. I currently work in education, and have worked as a documentary film-maker.
We didn't meet Lizza but his flat mate, pretty nice, who helped us for eveything. The house is very nice, especially the decoration (Lizza is not a tea-party fan), the situation perfect for a week in SF. We were five friends and spent a good time in town. Go !
I had a wonderful stay in this apartment! The house is beautifully kept with large rooms and lots of light. It is surrounded by lots of good food/bars/restaurants, but also conveniently located, so I was able to find my way around the rest of the city with ease. Liza, the host, was incredibly helpful and accessible before my arrival and throughout my stay. This apt is such a steal -- I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short or long term stay in the Bay!
Liza was a lovely guest in our house, entertaining, tidy and helpful. It was a real pleasure to meet her and to enjoy nice conversations with her.
Liza' house is clean, comfortable, well-appointed and ideally-situated. It's walking distance to some of the best shops, restaurants and cafes in the City, as well public transportation and great San Francisco walks. It's really a gem. I've stayed there half a dozen times and will again!
I have spent a great deal of time hanging out in Liza's lovely home. Her place is extremely cozy and comfortable, while at the same time being spacious and filled with beautiful art and furniture. The kitchen and the bathrooms are updated with modern fixtures and brand new appliances. The most attractive feature of the apartment is the light -- the large San Francisco Victorian windows fill every room of the top floor space with bright sunlight and open the rooms up to beautiful views of the city. There is also a large, recently re-landscaped back yard and a deck so you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful San Francisco weather. This is one of my favorite places in my favorite city!!
Having stayed at this house many times, I recommend it highly without hesitation. I have spent short stints living in a number of houses in a variety of neighborhoods in San Francisco, Liza's house is remarkable because it is a quiet refuge at the same time that it is steps away from a number of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods. Swift public transportation to anywhere else I've needed to go is within a few blocks as well. The house's modern, artwork-filled, spacious, light-filled rooms, clean, well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, and nicely tended garden with outdoor seating make this one of my favorite stops in San Francisco.
Anyone who has the opportunity to stay at Liza's place is LUCKY! It is an amazing house, in an amazing neighborhood, and on top of that, Liza has the decorating sensibility of an interior designer, using wild colors to play up the beauty of the victorian while somehow also making it feel cozy. I used to live in the apartment downstairs from Liza, and I always felt jealous when I came upstairs. Liza has really created a little Shangri-La up there!
