All went very smoothly. Tedi responded to my contact in a timely fashion and getting directions and access was easy. The house is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the kraton and taman sari. Tedi's residential staff were very friendly, even lending us their motorbike for a few hours. The bedrooms are large and the beds comfortable. Bathrooms are standard. The place isn't 5-star luxury but it's functional and well located. Good for groups because of the 4 double bedrooms, dining and living rooms, as well as the expansive front porch, providing plenty of places to gather in private or together.
Spacious home stay
strategically located near tourist attractions.
Good & safe neighborhood
Helpful & friendly host (he even drive us to nearby super market)
Can be noisy at night as a lot of motorbike pass by till late
No hot shower
Cleanliness can be better
Worth what we paid for
Will stay again & recommend friends if we come again to Yogya Karta
The house was wonderful, great location, reasonable price, lots of space and the host and his son were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again. thank you!
An ideal location for a group, (we were 8-10) in the Kraton close to the water palace and the square with fairy lights at night, and a bike-taxi away from the Sultan’s palace and famous Malioboro street. Cars with driver are available for further destinations, such as Borobudur. We used the car plus friendly driver to get to various universities where I had lectures to give, and were never too late. The house includes a sitting and dining room and front porch all for our group's use. Host Tedi, a university graduate and former journalist, has good English. He was very helpful, fetching take-a-ways and sending his assistant on small errands.
