Have Lived in Miami most of my life, in Washington D.C., NYC, and Costa Rica . I came to the USA as an infant from Cuba. I am a Georgetown University graduate in Diplomacy. I was the owner and founder of Yuca Restaurant in Coral Gables which is now on Lincoln Rd. Yuca was the pioneer in what now is referred to nationally as Nuevo Latino cooking. Food @ Wine magazine gave us 7 years consecutively " Top Ten Trends " in America. I enjoy cooking, art collecting, travel, tennis, have remodeled several homes, and personal shopper . My life has been public through my culinary career as the owner Yuca Restaurant, and a book that Billy Bean (my former partner) wrote called " Going The Other Way".
