A very good place for people who wants to stay a little away from tourist crowds and people rumour. Nice view to Albanian mountains from the hill, 7 min of walk to the long sandy beach, little market and tavernas beside. Anyway it's just 3 min by car or scooter to the next town Acharavi when you'll find restaurants, shops, supermarkets. Especially I recommend scouba diving with a beatiful team.
And it's also perfect place if you are a open person and want to feel a warm and friendly atmosphere of owner Tasos and his wonderful family that you can not find even in the luxury hotels.

Our stay in Villa Aphroditi was very nice and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The house has most things you need (two bathrooms, kitchen, air-condition etc.), a lovely terrace and garden with many fruits and flowers. We enjoyed the quiet area of Almiros and the short distance to the beach and a free pool. The view from the house is overlooking the sea and mountains of Albania, the scenery is very beautiful. We spend most days by the pool, but also enjoyed a day driving around on the island on scooters rented in Achavari. It is very easy getting to the house from Corfu town by bus, and the hosts are helpful to provide guidance. We had a great and relaxing vacation in Corfu.
Had a lovely stay ( just come back) August 2013. Tasos was friendly, helpful and even offered to meet us at the airport. His place is lovely, just as described, cool, clean, neat, with a lovely view of the sea looking across towards Albania, and a lovely view of the setting sun. The apartments are all in Tasos's garden so he is close at hand if you need anything. He brought us a plate of figs he picked from one of his trees. He has oranges, olives and lemons growing there too, and lots of lovely flowering bushes. It is about 600 metres to the quiet Almiros beach, which stretches miles and miles to Acharavi and Roda and on towards Sidari. It is a quiet rural area with goats, hens, olive trees and small fields, but within 500 metres there are a couple of very nice Tavernas, including Liberty's, where we ate twice, enjoying their home made wine, and home produced olives.
The apartment has a good air conditioning system which brings the temperature down dramatically in the main bedroom, and if you leave the door open to the second bedroom, that gets nice and cool too. The host makes no additional charge for using the A/C. The verandah is a lovely cool place to sit in the shade and enjoy the view.
The floors are tiled throughout, there is a nice little bathroom, small but kitchen area. The rural supermarket is only 50 metres away, which is highly convenient, as is the bus stop for Kerkyra, Sidari and Kassiopi. Buses highly recommended, they are cheap, air conditioned, and the staff speak English. They even took people out of their way from the main bus route, on several occasions, it felt so civilised and lovely.
Summary: a relaxed and quiet introduction to Greece, to Corfu, to the Mediterranean and to AirBNB. Highly recommended.
Villa Aphrotidi is conveniently located, the road to the sea is good. I travelled with 1 year baby, and it was very comfortable for me to live at Villa. Villa is well equiped and clean. There is a minimarket near Villa. Many thanks for villa's hosts for there care and hospitality!
