We stayed for a month + while we relocated to LA and got a pad of our own. All in all, it's good digs and a good deal.
The apartment is located on the edge of Inglewood and Culver City, so it's close to the airport, the beach and some pretty cool old stuff. (Pann's, the diner where Pulp Fiction was shot, is a short one-block walk away.)
It's in what's called a "dingbat," which is a local term for an older 50s house that has been subdivided. This flat is at the back of the house but has a front door and a small yard as well.
Some people hear the word "Inglewood" and freak, but neighbourhood is fine. In fact, the neighbours are extremely friendly. Parking is ample and there's a lot of space in the flat. Great old oven in there as well. Sophie is responsive and attentive; had no issues at all.
All in all, if you're looking for a place on Westside, it's not a bad option. You certainly can do worse.
The stay at Sophie's place was very nice and everything was well arranged. The location was just perfect as the building is situated in a quiet and nice neighborhood close to the 405 that brings u to all the interesting places (like Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice, Beverly Hills) within a 15-20min drive. The communication with the host was perfect, easy and Sophie was super responsive to any of my questions and needs.
Sophie is a very nice host and her home is clean, neat and well decorated. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I really enjoyed staying at her place.
Sophie is a very sweet person and handled things very well when needed.
The apt is perfectly located, close to everything big plus!
I have known Sophie for almost 10 years and have seen her host others many times and rent places from others. We have traveled together and had lots of fun. Throughout, she has been honest, thorough, easy to communicate with and accommodating.
I've known Sophie for at least 5 years. Work-wise, she's the consumate professional and a very reliable person. She's also cool, which is always a bonus. And while I haven't seen her place, I do know her taste is very good.
I've been with Sophie as she's been passing the keys off to those staying in her place, and it's clear she really cares about her guests having a perfect stay in LA and in her home. Sophie is conscientious, open, nurturing, and a great hostess. I've also stayed with her in her home and found the same. Her house is also centrally located - close to the beach and not too far from central LA/Hollywood, etc. It's clean, beautiful hardwood floors, etc. Both Sophie and her home rock!
