Part time New Orleanian & part time Okie. I like beginnings more than ends and Jazz more than Blues.
Myself and two friends stayed at Jenna's for the Essence Festival this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless and had everything that we needed. It was in close proximity to the Superdome and French Quarter and is right down the street for a Museum and right next door to a cute coffee shop. On the second day, there was a second line that came right down our street. We truly had an awesome experience. We would definitely stay again!
Our stay at Jenna's was very pleasant. Her description of the property was accurate. We had easy access to the French Quarter and we strolled through Louis Armstrong park on our way. Every morning my daughter and I would walk 10/15 minutes to Café Du Monde and get our beignets. The house is colorful and feels spacious. There were 3 bikes available for use (we didn't have enough time to use them). The kitchen is well appointed with cooking utensils and appliances. Also the AC was cold and easily adjustable. I recommend Jenna's place as a great refuge from the rowdiness of the French Quarter.
Great location. Jenna was an excellent host. The house itself was adorable and being located directly next to the Treme Coffeehouse was a huge bonus in my view. There was ample parking and our every need was tended to promptly. Only wish we could've stayed longer!
The shotgun house is perfect for a small group. I went with two of my friends and the size/price of the house was perfect for us. The neighborhood isn't horrible, but I wouldn't recommend walking back from the French Quarter at night. The location, in relation to distance from things to do and places to go, is perfect though. About 10-15 minute walk to french quarter. Jenna is very nice, knowledgeable, and available. She responded to messages in a very timely manner. She's good friends with a carriage driver who'(email hidden) in the city, but unfortunately she (the carriage driver tour guide) was not in town when we were there so we did not experience that.
Jenna's place is lovely and incredibly close to the French Quarter. It is a few blocks north and you get all the quiet, but when you want the noise is never more than ten minutes away. Parking is easy and right in front of the house.
Jenna's place was perfect! A gorgeous little shotgun home that was easy to explore from. Getting in and out was simple and the time in-between marvelous. We'd happily stay here again.
We had an amazing time at Jenna's house in Treme!! The house was cheerful, very clean, and well appointed - and it was even a bit larger than we thought it would be. The bed was comfy, and the AC kept things nice and cool, though I'm not sure I would have wanted to sleep on the futons, which seemed a bit hard. We took full advantage of the house's amenities - stereo system, bikes, kitchen, and coffee maker. The bathroom is separated by a curtain, not a door. It was a bit strange, but not a dealbreaker. We are city dwellers and not intimidated by walking and biking, and we thought this was a great central location. It was a quick walk to Louis Armstrong Park, the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, which was fine at night with my boyfriend, but I probably wouldn't have walked home alone late at night. We also biked all over the city - to Bywater, Marigny, Garden District, Uptown, Tulane, Audubon Park, etc. Overall, highly recommended for those who aren't intimidated by a bit of urban exploring, biking, and walking. I'd definitely stay here again!
Great place. Exactly what we were looking for: secure and clean, in a historic neighborhood and very close to the French Quarter. Small things could make it more comfortable: when there is more than a couple, memory foam mattress pads for the hard leather futons would help; curtain to the bathroom could be a little more substantial; patio furniture in the yard, even though a cafe is nearby; locks that require keys to open from both outside and the inside were concerning; but these are small things. We had a great time and easily settled in to our week in New Orleans. Though we ultimately had everything we needed, Jenna was great with instructions and suggestions for accessing the place, tours, and places to eat. Thumbs up!

Hello AirBnB'ers -
Jenna's space is great and her kindness to guests is excellent! Our 4 guests loved the apartment and location. My girlfriend actually left her kindle there by accident when we left the space, and Jenna mailed it priority within the following day for it to arrive about 2-3 days later. WOW! - what great guest service. I don't even think a hotel could accommodate that level of attention for it's guests.
Jenna is a success story and should be used by (website hidden) hidden) in how individual renters and customer service can sometimes exceed that of even the "resource" heavy corporate hotel chains.
Thank you Jenna!
