Tony is a great host, very communicative and easy to work with, and willing to help out if any issues arise.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Triple-A: great place. big space for one person. safe building. easy to contact the host.
Amazing location and great apartment. I was expecting it to be smaller but was surprised to find it's perfectly comfortable for one, two or three people.
Location couldn't be better. Cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, fast food all within 30 seconds walk. Trains within 1 minute walk as well. Host easy to deal with and offered up great advice when asked.
Will stay here again if I make it back to NY.
Great apartment. No troubles checking in. Great location. Completely clean and easy to contact the host. Great price for the spot considering hotels were $475 on the next block.
What a great LES apartment in the heart of my favorite neighborhood! The space is bright, sexy and comfortable. After a week, I was running up the stairs like it was nothing--personally, I would rather do a walkup than have to take a taxi home. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location heart of lower east side. So much to do and see, 10mins to Brooklyn.
Tony was great and very helpful... Couldn't have been better
Tony handled everything well. He was flexible about check in and check out time. We booked at the very last minute, and he responded immediately, which was critically helpful for us. He was accessible by phone and text the whole visit.
The apartment is in a perfect location in many ways: As far as convenience it is hard to imagine a better location for getting anywhere in the city quickly: It is right at the Delancey Station, where the line carrying the J,M,and Z trains intersect the line carrying the F train. The first three trains go downtown one way, and fan out into Brooklyn in the other. The F train down into Brooklyn one way and uptown and into Queens in the other, intersecting with the rest of the system's subway lines.
As far as city life there are lots of funky and nice bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops, street vendors, etc., on the street below you or within a block or so, and there is an incredible coffee shop across the street. The crowd is an affable Lower East Side bunch, open collar average Joe or Jill types mixed with t-shirts and interesting hair, no ties, but good folks, and plenty of people on well-lit streets all hours so you feel safe. You are at the foot of the Williamsburg bridge, which you can walk over to get too Brooklyn, or walk halfway over for some incredible views.
The apartment was well-decorated and furnished, with an air conditioner that easily handled 80 degree days. The apartment comfortably slept 3 people, one sleeping on the sofa. It was probably big enough for 5 people to socialize in. A couple of the walls were old brick that looked cool, and the street scene below and some cool old buildings were visible out the windows. The beds and furniture were comfortable.
It was up 5 flights of stairs, which was perfect for us,because we have no problem with stairs, and because it put you above the noise of the street and gave you a better view. The common area you pass through was a bit hot and needed a good scrubbing, but was not too bad. There were bits of graffiti on some of the buildings around there, but that is pretty common in those parts of Manhattan.
All in all a great experience that we would be glad to repeat.
My friend and I had a great stay in Tony's flat. Tony was very easy to communicate with from beginning to end and his friend Drew made the checkin and checkout very smooth. The flat was just as described (except they've changed the couch since the picture was taken) and in one of the best areas downtown. There are loads of restaurants and bars around and shopping is just 5-10 minutes walk away. The aircon was great as it was very hot when we were there. We were very happy with our choice and would love to stay in Tony's flat again when we are next in town.
Tony's friend Drew met us promptly upon our arrival. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Few kitchen amenities, but we hadn't planned to cook. Coffee shop across the street was fantastic. !.5 blocks to the F train. Super-convenient and priced right. I'd stay there again in a New York City minute!
Tony was a great house guest, very friendly and interactive.
Tony and I have been long time friends and travel companions -- we've shared adventures from big festivals like SXSW or Burning Man to wine tasting in Santa Rosa. He is respectful, polite and reliable and I can always count on him when I need help with anything.
Tony is a very responsible and considerate guy and I would recommend him as an airbnb renter with no reservations at all.
Tony and I have been friends for quite a while, sharing many great times over the years. I have always admired Tony as a man of vision and tenacity, armed with both a mind for business and a positive spirit for loving and embracing life. He's great fun to be around and I look forward the times we catch up over a drink or two.
