I am a professor of Educational Leadership at Auburn University, married to Mark for 40 years, grandmother of 4. Mark and I both teach and research in higher education, with a specialty in mentoring and leadership. We have a leadership development consulting business as well. We lead full and joyful lives as Christian believers, and our faith is what grounds us.
I own the condo in Auburn to use when I am there teaching, so I rent it out when I am back at my permanent home in Birmingham. You will not find any of my personal belongings in plain view.....I want you to feel as if it is your space when you are there....you are not invading my space.
I am very picky about having the condo as clean as any hotel room you would stay in, and I appreciate guests who are respectful of the property ( no smoking, and no pets). I have had repeat renters and no bad experiences thus far. We have travelled and stayed in properties like those found on AirBnB and think that it can be lots of fun! You won't likely meet us, however. When we rent the condo, it means we are in Birmingham (2 hrs. away), so we will leave a lockbox with a code for you to enter with. If there is an immediate need for attention to the property, we have a contact in town.
My husband and I are natives of the midwest (Illinois) but we love the Southeast, and plan to stay here! We trust you will have a pleasant stay and will give us a great review when you leave, and we will do the same for you as guests!
