I'm a young women, a happy mother, and i like to meet people and host them during their holidays in my beautiful city, Rome.
We had a Great stay in Laura's apt. Laura answered all our questions and even offered to meet us at the train station. Everything was very clean and freshly painted ~ nice looking. We were surprised in the mornings Italian breakfast, coffee and pastry was delivered to our apt. a very nice touch.
There's a bus right outside the apt but It is only a quick 10 minute walk to the metro/main train station. This was a good home base for our week sightseeing in Rome.
The only downside is there was not internet available in the apt. but could access it down the hall. We were assured it was being worked on so it will probably be ready for your stay. The only other issue is the toilet ran for longer than usual but the staff assured us it would be taken care of.
My wife Francesca and I had a wonderful time in Laura's "Lovely apartment in Rome". We felt so at home there that the next time we go back to Rome we will call Laura. There were so many advantages to the beautiful eighth floor apartment: Eat in kitchen, very large bedroom with many closets and a large desk area, a very nice size bathroom, a sitting area were we used the provided internet access, very large lighted terrace, cable TV, air conditioning, heat, and clothes washer. The apartment in situated where you have easy access to supermarkets, all types of local stores, eateries and buses and trains. We found Laura and her family to be so very helpful to us in so many ways. You could not ask for a better host. Ciao! Lorenzo
It was a really lovely apartment, 4 stops from roma termini.. There is a direct train from Airport to the apartment.. the apartment is walk able distance from the Roma tributina railway station.. The apartment was clean nice on the top floor.. We hardly stayed there to enjoy the luxury.. Laura was a nice host.. Overall it was a nice experience.. There was a kebab shop just down the street which was open till late midnight which was our Savior...
It's definitely a different and worthwhile experience staying in a Roman's apartment, away from the touristy downtown hotels. Yet, Laura's place is only a short metro ride from all the major attractions. Found a nice pizza place in the neighborhood, too.
I found Laura to be a very patient and helpful host and look forward to being her guest again on my next trip to Rome!
Best features: We booked this apt at short notice and Laura got us a nice discount. Laura speaks excellent english and communication wont be a problem, she's quite nice and helpfull and lives on the same floor. The apartment has an elevator. The building is clean and well maintained. Free WIFI worked without fuss. Big varanda with a nice view! Air cond. was working fine! The apartment isn't near any sights but is only 4 metro stops away from most everything tourists want to see, buses also close by. There is a good place for ice cream nearby and also restaurants, stores and good places for breakfast.
Not quite as good: Street noise which can't be helped in Rome. The apartment needs money spent on it. The bathroom had a weird smell that I didnt know where it was coming from since it looked (website hidden) was not working but I think we were just unlucky and I'm sure it will be fixed for the nexts guests. A proper sofa in the small living room would have being good and also thicker curtains on the bedroom, 'cause it was too bright in the morning. If you are someone who can look past all of this, and come for the location and price, then this is the place for you.
Good appartment, plenty of room. 5-7 minutes walk from metro and train station. Laura is very nice and friendly. Place is a bit noisy bicause of the train station if you want to keep the windows open. Other than that everything was nice.
We were so lucky to land on our feet at very short notice - Laura's apartment in Rome is in such a great location. Right next to Tiburtina train station, 4 metro stops from Termini, handy shops and supermarket 2 minutes walk away, and close to San Lorenzo which is a great place to go out for drinks. We hired bikes and could get into the city centre in 10 minutes.
The apartment itself was also great - really clean, well equipped kitchen, internet, air conditioning, and a balcony on the 8th floor from which (if you don't mind the noise of the traffic and trains) you can eat with a fantastic view over to the centre of Rome.
Laura was incredibly helpful and flexible as a host, and I would definitely recommend staying with her in Rome. Thank you Laura!
He estado en casa de Laura unos días con mis hijas y ha sido estupendo . La casa está muy bien y con facil acceso a las comunicaciones con el centro de Roma. Laura es muy simpática y amable. Os la recomiendo a todos.
Laura was a great host. She met us at the bus stop and had breakfast for us in the morning. She really did a great job at helping us get to and from where we needed to go.
The apartment is wonderful and Laura is fantastic. She picked me up at the station just as Rome started raining (buckets!). The location is just outside the walls, has good bus service and VERY close to Stazione Tiburtina. You'll want to bring ear plugs (especially if you leave all the windows/doors open like I did; the weather was very warm). The trains run 24/7 and the flood lights are bright. If you have any questions or problems during your stay, Laura and her family live right across the hall. Laura is new to hosting but is working through the bugs with each guest and I have no doubt she will very quickly be a favorite with travelers to Rome.
Laura is a pleasant person with whom you can communicate well, is attentive to details and offers you great ideas for your needs, great hospitality!
