as a traveler and host I'm easy going and flexible. If you want privacy you got it, if you like to hang out for a bit you got it (if I can :) )
I live above a chocolate shop with chocolate kitchen, even after years living in Belgium I still think it's great. Getting into the house, you'll smell chocolate!
I'm a sculpture conservator and travel quite a bit back and forth for work so I know what it's like to long for a place that feels a bit like home. Especially when working long days in situ. I don't really need a host to be there, I just want to relax.
So keep an eye on the calendar, my travels are very random.
Personally, I prefer Air bnb over a hotel anytime. Staying at someones house gives me a sense of what it's like to live in a place, city, town.. And being a sucker for history, I love the way you always sense a bit of history in the place you stay. As opposed to a sterile hotel room.
During summer I like to just take off with my car, bicycles and mattresses in the back, just drive to somewhere nice and camp.
Somehow friends always seem to find me to house and pet sit. So often I'm house sitting in the Netherlands, Belgium or London. In those cases my apartment is up for Airbnb as well.
They tell me here to tell you about my life motto.
Well, I think people stare at the pavement too often, look up at the marvels of architecture or clouds above you!
Until we meet,
