Second time staying with Alex and an even better experience! I love Alex's apartment right outside center city. It is
A very big location for the extremely affordable price. Alex is my go-to place to stay when traveling to the Philadelphia area.
Alex's loft was really conveniently located for us - very close to the 30 and less than 15 mins walk from downtown. It was really comfortable and everything we expected.
Alex's place was great! It was really clean, easy to find, and the loft staff were really friendly. We didn't actually meet Alex but it was simple to go to the deli next door and get the keys. There wasn't a ton to do in the area but now that Uber is in Philly it made it really easy to request a cab and one would be there within a few minutes. Would definitely recommend and use again!
The description was accurate but it was a very basic place. We picked up the key from the deli downstairs and he didn't rally say welcome or show us the place but it wasn't really necessary either so that's okay.
The good: This listing is great for people driving into Philly. In addition, it is three blocks from the subway and adjacent to a supermarket. In addition, because I had a late check-in, the front desk was able to give me a key to the loft.
The bad: nothing.
The ugly: nothing.
Secure location, as pictured, clean. Within walking distance to city center. Bed comfortable and very low off the floor. Would go back.
Acceptance within a few hours, questions answered within a few hours, complete useful info provided in a comprehensive list, v clean and huge industrial loft (2000+ sq ft) - just as described.
2-3 min walk to the A-train to the convention center.
I came to attend a conference fora few days) & would leave early in morning. While there was a coffee maker, I was hoping for small coffee & creamer packets (as provided in hotels) to wake me up in the morning. But the loft was a 2 min walk to Dunkin Donuts.
The loft is spacious and is as depicted in photos. The rate is very reasonable for Philadelphia too. That said, I found the neighbourhood to be a bit out of the way, in what seemed to be a industrial/clubbing area. Also, I felt that the bathroom area was not as clean as it should have been (even given the low cleaning fee). Check-in and check-out was very accommodating as you can collect/drop off the keys at the downstairs deli. Overall, if you're driving and looking for a large, affordable space that's easy to check in and out of this would work.
Definitely a nice place to spend a few nights! Very spacious apartment with a comfy bed and couch, with all we needed for our stay. We walked right to the Delaware River Waterfront and all around eventually ending up at Independence Hall so the location was quite convenient. The area around the building is a bit lonely at night, but I still felt safe. The people at the front desk were super helpful in trying to get us a cab in the pouring rain on our way out of town as well. I would definitely return. Alex was a great host and very responsive!
Alex was a very peaceful and quiet guest. Come back anytime, Alex!
I didn't get a chance to meet him, but the interaction was easy, simple, and painless. The place was left in great condition and communication was easy.
Alex Kim and his two sons were perfect guests. Considering the young age of his sons, they were extremely well behaved and quiet. Prompt arrival, clean, good communication. Would welcome back anytime.
Alex is a nice person and was a fine guest. He arrived with his two well behaved sons, ages 10 and 5.
Alex stayed for a short time but was reliable and easy to get situated. He even braved the recent harsh elements to come through his reservation.
