I've lived in Brooklyn for the past 11 years, and it's a mighty fine place.

I needed a place to relax in Brooklyn, one that was pretty close to where a friend of mine was staying. I looked at several places nearby and decided early on to stay at Brady's place. It looked cozy, and suited to a single guy or small family.
Location is superb. Brady's place was very easy to find and to get to, and is surrounded by lots of great little restaurants and shops. It's super easy to get to the subway as well. You can duck down to Sottocasa for amazing Neapolitan pizza (Yelp's top rated joint for Boerum Hill), or head down Smith street for all the livelihood of a vibrant neighborhood dotted with creative, emerging and interesting dining and drinking options. There's also a Trader Joe's nearby, and other grocery stores and bodegas.
The deck is fantastic. It's pretty simple, and access is funky, but being able to sit on a spacious deck in the morning, or even late into the evening is a HUGE treat.
Brady even left coffee and bagels for me. So I left him some bourbon.
When I come back to Brooklyn I'll be looking for this spot.
My husband and I were greeted by our Host's friend who was very welcoming. He brought us English muffins and OJ. The location was ideal for foodies like us. Smith St is a great place to explore. And we walked to the Botanical Gardens for the showy cherry blossoms.
If you want a roomy, open feeling place with light and convenience in Brooklyn, this is your place.
