She offered some baked goods leftover from Christmas and made me some coffee, and gave me a brief photographic history of her family. It was the dead of winter, so no one else was there, but the room was simple and clean. My only annoyance was that I'd been detained at the Turkish border the day before(through no fault of my own), so I couldn't be there for the first night of my reservation. I'd booked 2 nights, and assumed that I would just be able to stay for two nights without an extra charge. When i asked about this she seemed to think it was ridiculous, and she said I could pay her in cash for the next night. I didn't like this business policy, so I found a hotel for around the same price that included breakfast for the next 2 nights.
Basic but clean. We had a nice stay.
Eirini's studios are very close to the center of the city. It's easy to find the way around. Also her warmth, openess and kindness made our first experience with Kos Town very nice. Thank you Eirini.
We arrived on a Ferry from Kos at 5.30am and Erini very kindly let us check in at 7.00am which was great. She gave us a traditional Greek breakfast and coffee while checking us in. The apartment was very basic. We were only given one toilet roll and Erini said that we were expected to buy our own dishwashing detergent and cloth to clean our dishes after cooking. We disagreed that this was normal practice as I have always found this provided when staying in accommodation with a kitchen. She did later send up some detergent so all was well. Erini advised us on where to hire a scooter from but it was hard to understand her directions around the island. It was lovely to have a balcony.
Erini was awesome. Pleasant. Very helpful to navigate Kos and avoid tourist scams. She even feed me traditional Greek food for breakfast! Lovely place. I totally endorse her.
We only stayed 1 night en route to the islandstatue. Very simple but clean and central with a hospitable hostess
Wonderful place to stay! As authentic as one gets in Greece, which of course, includes your very own 'auntie-Eirini!' She's very thoughtful, knowledgable of the area, great to recommend spots in town, and can even offer a few discounts to other neighbourhood businesses. Well worth the EXPERIENCE of being her guest, much less be a tourist in her home town.
We had a very nice stay at Eirini's in Kos-City. We had a very warm-hearted welcome with a delicious Greece coffee and homemade halva. We could not feel more welcome. The room was just as described. It's very small but everything you need is there. Although the furniture is a little old everything is very clean.
Erini is a very friendly and 'down to earth' host. She likes meeting new people and giving them a taste of Greek cooking. That was fine with me. The studio room I had was small and a dated but it was perfectly adequate and the bed was good. It is priced fairly.
