My family and I bought Château Ventenac in 2004 as a holiday home. We came across it quite by chance and immediately fell in love – ‘un coup de foudre‘ as the French say!
The house has now been transformed from a neglected wreck into a beautiful and comfortable family home.
The building still retains some of the grandeur of its bygone life. Floors of polished oak and original tiles, marble fireplaces and well-proportioned, lofty rooms all make it feel like a Château. Yet we have a really well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and up-to-date satellite TV and wireless broadband internet.
I love travelling and my partner, Philip and I are always planning our next trip. Last year we went to Australia which we both loved. Next year we hope to go to the Caribbean, to the little island of St Kitts where I lived as a child.
I also love being a host and welcoming visitors. Our home in Ventenac feels at it's best when we are sharing it with guests - it becomes a happy house when lots of people are enjoying it. It may be part of a Chateau but it is also very much a "home". We look forward to welcoming you.
