Heather was organised and helpful when I arrived and the studio was clean and functional. Great location for transport however lots of noise from other tenants thumping up and down the stairs and from people on the street - not unusual for cheap NYC digs but not recommended for light sleepers!
As mentionned before, nice appartment, great location, and very easy to go to any place in Manhattan. I recommend 67 Burger 2 minutes walk from the appartment, in Lafayette avenue! ;)
We didn't meet Heather. We have communicate by e-mails. She was very responsive. Her appartment is a studio very well kept, very convenient, in a quiet area. Very easy for going to Manhattan with different subways stations near the appartment. We enjoyed the different restaurants or bars on the 5th avenue (Brooklyn).
Her place is a good place for the discovery of Manhattan / NYC / Brooklyn. We really enjoyed our stay in Heather's place. We will defintively want to come back there for oour next trip in NYC.
Heather was responsive, easygoing and accommodating in making arrangements. Her apartment is a small, well kept studio on quiet (for NYC) street in a great area of Brooklyn, convenient to most subways. I'd highly recommend staying at her place; my boyfriend and I would be happy to return.
Heather's apartment is a small studio apartment located only a few minutes from a shopping mall (with Target, Marshall's, Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, etc.) and also the Barclay's Center. It is a short distance to the subway station as well as the Long Island Railway.
The room is clean, organized, and well maintained with a nice wood floor. The kitchen is newly renovated with nice wooden cabinets, a small counter space, and a small gas stove. There is a table that will seat up to 2 people. The refrigerator is big enough to adequately store food.
The bathroom is extremely small: It has a bathtub with a shower, but it is probably one of the smallest bathrooms we've ever seen.
There is no closet for a guest to use. The room can get overwhelmingly hot in the winter, mainly because there is no thermostat to control the temperature: If you choose to slightly open the window, you can lower the temperature, but also it will allow some outside noises to be more noticeable.
In all, we feel it is well worth the experience for the money charged, and we would highly recommend it.

Heather's studio is just as described and I really enjoyed having a lovely, clean place to stay in such a great neighborhood.
I didn't meet Heather face to face but she went out of her way to make everything regarding my visit go smoothly. She was great to work with. She mailed me a key well in advance. We communicated via e-mail and phone. Her apt is a bit small but it was all I needed while I was visiting NYC. The apt was very clean and nicely decorated. It's on the first floor so it's easy in and out. Very convenient to the subway and close to lots of cool shops and restaurants. I found a spot to park my car for free right around the corner. (lots of free parking but it can be tricky finding a spot. Just drive around till you find something) The apt was quite warm (the heat was on and I don't think you can adjust it) but I opened a window a little and the fresh air was very nice. The building was pretty quiet and pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Heather is a great host. Her apartment is a small very cute and well decorated studio. We feel at home! Very clean and well equipped, her bed is fantastic. The district is really nice, many students and families. the Bagel Delight at Lafayette Avenue is just excellent. If I had to return to New York, I would stay without hesitating at Heather's!
I went to NY with my boyfriend in October 2012. We rent Heather's apartment 3 days. It was my first Airb&b experience.
I only have good comments for her. She's just great. She answered my emails right away and made sure I had all the information. The apartment was lovely, clean and in a great location, near lots of subway stations. I recommend it to anybody.
Heather's home was wonderful. It was near Target where we shopped for our daughter and new grandson! We have no complaints. The neighborhood was fun and well located. I recommend Heather's place to anyone.
