I'm a 33 year old nurse from Amsterdam, the Netherlands! My parents are Indonesian, and my last name is Portuguese! Haha, that explains the name and my looks! I love traveling and learning how to order beer in every possible language! My top 5 travel experiences are:

5: Going to a nightclub in Jakarta with an Indonesian police officer who bought drugs with discount because he was a cop! (Do note: I did NOT take the drugs)

4: Watching the last runner of the women's marathon pass by during the London 2012 Olympics. I was standing by Westminster and I'll never forget how the whole crowd, including the policemen, started to cheer her on as if she was the winner! I just love London, and I LOVE its people.

3: Visiting a ladyboy club in Bangkok, Thailand. I was just STUNNED to see how many of them really look like beautiful girls. When I left without taking any 'girl' with me, I actually caused a scene, and a huge angry ladyboy threatened me with her high heeled shoe. Thank God her ladyboy colleagues stopped her, so I managed to get away unharmed.

2: I was sitting in a bar in Gliwice, southern Poland, when a huge Polish guy came to me. I thought he was going to attack me, but then he started speaking in fluent Indonesian to me! Turned out he studied in Indonesia, and he thought it was cool to see an Indonesian face!

1: Just sitting in the small park in DUMBO in New York City. The place is so beautiful, and the weird thing is that despite the huge noise of the traffic and subway coming in from the Manhattan Bridge, the place is incredibly relaxing and calming.

I'm thrilled about Airbnb because as a traveler one tends to end up in a "tourist bubble". By using Airbnb I'm hoping to escape this bubble, and get to know real locals.

I hope to see you soon!
