I love travel, being outdoors, kayaking and camping. I enjoy sharing my home and this beautiful island with others. I care about the health of our planet and leaving the world a better place.
motto: Streets are public spaces
Very nice and quiet - no tv, radio, or clock. Clean, roomy, and nicely decorated, with a lovely garden. Private entrance is a plus, as is the small refrigerator, electric kettle, and a few dishes.
Susanna was a very kind and interesting guest! We had some great conversations and she left us feeling very confident that our house and plants would be well taken care of! She is welcome at any time in Brussels!
When I was 15 I went on an exchange program to Canada. I can't express how much grateful I feel to have had Susanna as my host mother... it changed my life. In addition of course of the Beauty of the place she lives in! She became family for life and I'll always keep her and her family close to my heart. Susanna definitely inspired me (so does Vancouver Island!) and gives me strength in the world. She is an open-minded, authentic, conscious and responsible woman interested in people and the world we live in. Her place is beautiful and she takes very good care of it! It is very clean and peaceful, right near the ocean... and I have no doubt you'll enjoy every bit of it!
Susanna's home is a stone throw away from some of the most scenic, stunning, and green islands on earth, Hornby, Denman, to which you can kayak, artisan hop and hike the days away. The Comox Valley has much to offer whether you like the indoors or out, rugged or relaxed, winter or summer. Conveniently located in the centre of Vancouver Island, its easy to venture West to Tofino, South to Victoria, or to the Northern Gulf Islands and Strathcona Park. If you are lucky to have Susanna present during the time of your stay, you'll have access to her broad self-discovered knowledge of the many secret wild places and spaces jewelled across Vancouver Island, along with the 'scenic detour' routes to guide you. Her compassion runs as deep as her love for the wild and its inhabitants, which is reflected in the natural, clean beauty of her home. I have always considered her place an 'oasis,' and I am pleased that she is opening it up for others to enjoy!
