The flat is exactly as is described and pictured in its description. It does suggest that it only takes 3 minutes to walk to Juliet’s house, but that is not quite accurate. We walked it many, many times during our two-week stay, and it takes at least 10-15 minutes. That being said, it’s still a close walk. The neighbourhood is very quiet and we had no trouble with noise or the neighbours. It’s within walking distance to many lovely eateries, which Tatiana was kind enough to point out when we met her. The bed is firm and comfortable enough, but the bedding and pillows leave little to be desired. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and had no problems. The shower doesn’t keep the hot water for very long, but it does have a few settings to try for waterflow. An oversight on our part was that we didn’t take note that the flat doesn’t come with A/C or wifi. This is NOT Tatiana’s fault, as it was us who did not notice that they are not mentioned in the description. However, these two items proved to be a major downfall to our stay. When I inquired prior to our visit about the lack of AC, I was assured that it would be fine with a fan and the flat’s “thick walls,” as Italy had just gone through a “heat wave” but was now okay. In reality, it was roughly 35-40C every day and did not cool down at night. The fan was there and worked fine, but it did not compensate for the heat. Not to mention we had to leave the windows open to get airflow, and as a result were constantly bitten by mosquitoes any time we were in the flat. It made us hate going back to the flat for any length of time, which was unfortunate, because on the whole, the flat is nice. As to wifi, while I wouldn’t normally be worried on a vacation, this was actually a 2-week stay and I was working on my Master’s at the time. This means I required wifi. It worked somewhat in the town centre, but the process for signing up for wifi takes time, and my strongest signal was at the library, where I had to sit to check and do my work. It’s not the end of the world, but not ideal if you’re working while traveling. If you’re going for a very short stay during cooler months, then you’ll probably enjoy this flat.
Tatiana was a perfect host. Due to traffic jam our journey to get to Verona took longer than expected but she waited for us patiently.
Her apartment is located in a wonderful neighborhood, within walking distance to the arena, a great Pizza place and delicious ice-cream.
Tatiana was a very great host. Super nice, waited patiently, explained everything and gave us excellent recommendations. The location is also very nice, lots of things nearby and the downtown area is about a 10-15 minute walk. The apartment is also exactly as pictured.
The place is very quiet, but sometimes the next door neighbors can be talking into late hours and walking around very early in the morning (4 a.m) The two down things are: no internet and no A.C. We had the hardest time sleeping because it was so hot and we were very sweaty. But it's also because of the heat wave we encountered that night. The shower is nice and lasts for a while!
I'd recommend this place, just avoid the heat wave!
We had a delightful stay in Tatiana's flat, which was very spacious and homely. Thanks to Tatiana's recommendations we found some great local places to eat and drink. The flat is in a lovely area and very convenient to get to central Verona. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing Italian getaway!
Nice clean flat in quiet neighbourhood, outside the centre
Tatiana was very nice and gave us great recommandations for restaurants nearby. Location of the appartment is in a beautiful, quiet area of Verona and close to the center. The appartment was nice, clean and very spacy. We very much enjoyed our stay.
We had an excellent stay at Tatiana's apartment. It is only a short and pleasant walk to the centre of Verona, and is in a very quiet neighbourhood which is very peaceful. It is also a short walk from a great panoramic viewpoint of the city.
Tatiana was an excellent hostess. She gave us lots of useful information, and recommendations of good places to eat.
We had a wonderful stay! Tatiana had amazing suggestions to explore Verona, and the apartment is just like the pictures. It is about a 10 minute beautiful walk from the main city centre. I would definitely recommend.
Tatiana's flat has everything you need & is well placed in a quaint quiet part of Verona only 10-15 minutes walk to all the main sights but on the edge of the city so we discovered great walks along the old city walls. Tatiana had a map prepared & recommended various restaurants etc. Friendly & helpful little Alimentari nearby.
