A must be experience . Like walking back in time, part of villa is still from the XI century. We were in four plus our dog .the flat we stayed was super cleaned and had all you need .the building and our flat had so much character and history, made us living a beautiful holiday in the middle of the Tuscan country side. The pool is huge with a spectacular view. Silvia and her husband are super kind , hospitality and helpful. We will definitely go back.
We had a great 2 night stay in Silvia's historic farm in the Crete Senesi! The location is so beautiful in the Tuscan hills! Silvia and her husband were great hosts, we only wish we knew some Italian so we could have talked with them more!
Our apartment was just like the pictures! We were definitely in a historic building but it was beautiful and had everything we needed. The shower was a little tight but other than that everything was great!
We enjoyed a home made breakfast each morning with breads/meats/cheeses/cereal and were even given a bottle of wine from the family's winery!
There was also a pool for us to enjoy and beautiful gardens! Would definitely return :)
This farm is as beautiful and authentic as is described - perhaps even more so. It is a fully functioning farm, which is hundreds of years old, and retains that old world charm. Our host, Silvia, was very helpful and welcoming. We were provided precise directions, given a tour of the place and a bottle of wine made by her family. Our "apartment" had a proper kitchen, a small bathroom and two bedrooms.
The location is ideal if you want to drive around and explore the Tuscan hill towns. We used the farm as a base to drive to Montalcino, Montepulciano, Siena, Pienza etc.
You can spend your time in the pool, the garden, going for walks or just lazing around. The view of the sunrise and sunset from this place is breathtaking. There are two excellent restaurants and one very good pizzeria in Trequanda town. Oh, and the breakfast at the farm is delicious (and freshly made on the farm).
Very nice stay. Thank you Sylvia
Dear Silvia, we had the best moments of our life at your place and we enjoyed the serenity of the place. Rooms had great views and excellent facilities. We enjoyed your hospitality and my daughter loved dog and cats!
Like to come back and will recommend everybody as a must stay place for authentic Italian experience. Convey our regard to your family . By the way wine was excellent, wish I did purchase some more !
My parents and I stayed at Silvia's villa and it was simply beautiful. We booked at the last minute and she was very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and I wish we could have stayed for the dinners or just to better enjoy the beautiful grounds but we were booked solid for tastings at other wineries. I very much enjoyed the rustic but still extremely comfortable and beautiful accommodations. Thank you for a wonderful end to my parent's first trip to Tuscany!
Beautiful landscape, amazing house, nice welcome, got a tour, really peaceful, good salumi for breakfast.
For info : bring your own soap.
Although the farm is located in the most beautiful surroundings and the buildings truly have their own charme, the apartment we stayed in was very very poorly equipped, to say the least. The really antiquated kitchen was lacking the most essential things (like a few regular sized plates for instance). If you want to have dinner here with the four people that officially fit in here, you have a problem. The furniture is run down and the two armchairs in the kitchen were covered with bed linen (!) to make them look okay. Silvia is a nice host and we can't say anything bad about her but the apartment is furnished in a standard that absolutely doesn't match the price of the apartment. The bathroom is almost entirely empty and is lacking even soap. This needs a lot more love to give anyone a pleasant stay. Please do something about this place, it deserves it.
The location of Belsedere is perhaps one of the most beautiful in all Tuscany. At least, it must be the best spot to enjoy the classic Tuscan views of the Crete Senesi. The place has the decadent charm of old Italian houses, a beautiful garden, it's far enough from civilization to feel isolated (which we enjoy) but at the same time it's a very short distance from medium sized towns for buying groceries, having dinner etc.
The house is only a short drive from Montalcino-Pienza-Monticchielo-Montepulciano, which is the area that we liked best in our whole trip.
The house we stayed in, Il Boschetto, was large and had everything we needed. We travelled with our baby and Silvia provided a baby chair and crib for free. We were even allowed to bring two Italian friends for a night - for free. Showers worked well and in general we were comfortable. Perhaps the beds could a bit more comfortable.
All in all, a very pleasant stay. The best: the views and the good access to one of the most pretty areas in Tuscany.
The villa is very nice and located next to the village of Trequanda which has a few good restaurants and nice little town square. You are in a great location to explore the wine country of Montalcino and Montepulciano. They also have started making there own wine which is very good and a bargain, I highly suggest getting some bottles of their table wine and vintage Orcia wine. You are within 20 minutes of Pienza, about 60 minutes from Sienna and Chianti, and about 40 minutes to Cortona. We had 11 people in 3 apartments - all apartments were nice with adequate cooking areas and each had two baths which was a great bonus. The fees included a European breakfast each morning and the family hosted a nice dinner for all guests on the night of our arrival. The host family was available for any questions and very responsive however their English was not great but we managed. On the downside the outdoor areas near our apartments were not that great and the laundry is in a separate building. There is a very nice pool area but the pool was closed as we travelled in October. Overall the villa was a good value for us as we were such a large party.
