I am a theatre / TV designer living in Azoia. I´m half English/ half Portuguese.
The house is situated in an absolutely wonderful environment. On the first day we walked around for a couple of hours and saw numerous spring flowers, birds, frogs and wild herbs.
Cabo Espichel is indeed a very "especial" and impressive spot. As we arrived (late in March) it was a bit chilly, but Miguel had already turned on the heating. The house is very cosy and has a nice terrace outside. The bathroom is OK, but the kitchen is quite basic indeed.
I had a good stay in this nice flat for a period of two months. In order to feel comfortable, it still required a good clean as it was only superficially done (especially shower and kitchen equipment). Apart from the welcoming and good bye there was no need to contact Miguel, as everything was working fine. At the end of my stay I mentioned my problems with the cleanness, which he took good notice of. He is anyhow a very nice person.
Some specifics, not mentioned in the description and other reviews: It concerns an apartment on the top-floor, very private, quiet except for some street noise on the terrace. The sleeping room faces a semi-open balcony (windows can be fully closed) with a nice view over a quiet residential area. Good 2p bed, comfortable mattress. On the balcony you find a laundry machine, iron board, clotheslines. Excellent wifi and fast internet connection. The sofa was uncomfortable as the structure was broken. The kitchen is small but functional and had a gas oven.
merci séjour bien agréable accueil sympa
The house is in a quiet place off the main road going to Cabo Espichel. It is nicely decorated, quiet and comfortable, and according to description (and our expectations). Big terrace with bbq and surrounded by bushes and flowers. We could only peek to the ocean from a corner though. Great place for quiet holidays. We hope we can go back soon.
The small village is very nice and you can easily find everything you need in the grocery shop (with lots of local stuff) and the cafes. Restaurants with great food and prices available nearby in Meco.
We had a great time in Miguel's casa. It's situated on a beautiful spot and the surroundings are amazing, especially the stars at night.
The house itself is cozy and nicely decorated. I didn't have any problems with the height of the attic (and I'm 1,87m :-). Miguel is super friendly and easy in contact and check in/out. Highly recommended!
Nice apartment, great terrace and view, great location. Miguel is super nice, smart and responsive. Recommended.
Wonderful location in rural part south of Lisboa ,with hidden almost private beach at hand. Very friendly easy going owner and spacy , pleasantly furnished appartment for two.
Special place. When we first arrived it seemed a bit remote and windy - but a short trip in the area revealed things like spectacular dinosaur footsteps, a beautiful church and refuge and some extraordinary beaches below the cliffs (very wavy, but the sight alone was worth the trip). Perfect distance to the Super Bock-festival (20minutes by car). And I hope the vegetarian eco cafe 4 minutes from the house will make it :-)
It was a pleasure to have Miguel with friends at my apartment.
