Paul's place was Ace. As described, no surprises. Paul was out of town, but he was texting us and making sure everything was okay. He even had the neighbours pop over to welcome us and let us in. A friendly part of the world indeed. We'd definitely stay there again.
I stayed in Paul's apartment for a very quick stay, and it was exactly as promised. It is clean, spacious, and perfect for someone looking to be within walking distance to bars, restaurants, and other LA attractions. I didn't meet Paul, but he was quick to respond to texts, and check in and out were super easy. Parking was a little bit tricky, but for the most part I was able to quickly find a spot on the street. I would definitely recommend his apartment to anyone looking for a place in LA!
I stayed at Paul's apartment for less than a week, while doing an away rotation at UCLA. It was a nice place and did the job well. Paul was very responsive, particularly to the messages on airbnb, and usually replies to messages quickly. Although, I did not meet him in person, he was very patient answering my multiple questions and requests. He was also quick in resolving the issue with wifi the first night I got there. The place is in a good location and is clean. My only concern was that it didn't have a dedicated parking spot. The apartment comes with a parking permit that allows you to park on the next street (not on Romaine itself) and the spots on that street can get filled easily. So, if you have a car and you think you may come home late at night and want your car to be visible from your window, this is not the best option. There are some parking spots in the complex that even though it said "do not park during business hours," Paul did not recommend it for after business hours-- and I respected his recommendation. So, parking was a little bit of concern for me. That being said, it turned out that I was lucky enough to find parking on Romaine street itself for most nights and never spent more than 15 minutes trying to find parking. It was only on the night before street cleaning on Romaine that I couldn't find any parking on the streets next to it and had some problem finding parking. On the other side of the window in the living room, there is a hallway to neighbors apartment. So, I kept the drapes closed almost all the time. The bedroom and kitchen were nice and did the job. Thanks for the nice stay, Paul.
This was the first time my husband and I have used Airbnb and the experience could not have been better. Paul was the perfect host and super responsive, the apartment is clean, quiet and full of everything you need. And the location is perfect, particularly as we didn't have a car for most of our stay. Wholefoods, cafés, cool shops and bars are all within a 5 min walk and the Grove and Farmers market about ten mins. It was a great experience and we'd definitely come back. Final tip - the kibbutz room is a great bar for watching bands and has a cool jukebox and is attached to a 24 hour deli. Awesome!
This was easy as. Paul was always easy to communicate with, despite the fact that he was out of town. The room is spacious, comfortable, there's a desk, and loads of natural light. Having my own bathroom was a huge plus as well. The location is fantastic - just a walk to the supermarket (whole foods) or incredible coffee (Commissary). And there's an awesome flea market down on Melrose & Fairfax on a Sunday. The only drawback of the huge house is that if there is another person in the adjacent bedroom, the sound travels between the bedrooms through an airvent that separates/joins the two rooms. You can hear every footstep or lightswitch. I was staying with a great roommate, so we were really respectful of each other's space and work schedules, therefore it was not a problem. All in all, this is a great house, relaxed, ideally located, fast wifi, friendly/communicative host, good value.
Paul's place is spacious, clean, and in a convenient location. We frequented an awesome coffee shop, Coffee Commissary (one block away), and they even gave us "Paul's discount!" Paul was a joy to deal with and very accommodating with arrival/departure times.
Great location, very clean, fantastic communication.
one note, there is no actual television hookup. Roku box with movies etc but no cable or network tv via antenna.
Paul was an excellent host and was prompt with all communication. The apartment was exactly as described and is in a great location. He even left a welcome basket for us with some snacks and drinks, thanks!
We loved the house, which has everything you need including a good shower. Location was great with nice restaurants and a few good bars, breakfast places and coffee shops. A great place to get the WeHo experience! Being able to park in an off street garage was great too. Thanks Paul.
Response from Paul:
Thanks Chris, it was great meeting you both!
Paul's apartment is terrific -- very clean and spacious and in a great location in WeHo. When I arrived, Paul had left a very generous welcome package of snacks and amenities, a very nice if not unexpected surprise. And not only is Whole Foods a 3 minute walk from the apartment, it is conveniently located and very close to some of the best restaurants in area.
I highly recommend and would certainly plan to stay again during my next trip to West Hollywood.
Response from Paul:
Thanks Anthony! Hope to have you back soon. Take care!

Very delightful to have in the house and welcome back any time
Everything was tip-top when Paul left. Would gladly host him again!
Paul was a perfect guest. He left the apartment exactly as he found it and I found him to be wonderful to deal with as well. You would be lucky to have Paul guest in your home!
