All well equiped like in the photos.
Quite spacious for closed friend/family to stay together.
Location is so great, MTR Austin is really next door.
Host is helpful but need to bear in mind Louis works late night, he might not be able to always give you a swift reply.
Honestly, we were anxious because this was our first time to use airbnb and we were having a hard time connecting with Louis and airbnb before leaving for the HK trip. I made several emails both to Louis and airbnb and, none, apparently reached Louis. We had a hard time looking for the apartment either. When we reached Victoria Malls, per previous instruction from Louis, I decided to walk around. It was hard considering that very few understood and speak English. Finally we were able to connect to Louis through the help of a lady employee at a store in Victoria Mall. Louis immediately came. He is a nice person afterall and just like us, he was also trying to make a connection to us but was not able to do so. Louis place is clean, comfortable, and very accessible. He was also very helpful. I would not also hesitate to recommend his place to other travellers. What needs to be improved I guess, is the communication. Why could I not get through to Louis even when I was using the airbnb? This would greatly faciltate things. Thank you.
We stayed at the apartment for the month of November and it was great. Upon arriving to hk I contacted Louis and he provided great directions on how to get to his apartment from the airport. He showed us around the apartment and have us some tips on where to eat around the area. There were 5 of us who stayed at the apartment and although it was tight at times there was still enough room, even with two 200+lb guys. The apartment is located in Jordan and is about a 5 to 10 min walk to the Jordan mtr station, the Austin station is closer but you will have to switch trains a couple times depending on where you are going. There are lots of restaurants around the apartment that are open late as well as a 7-11 and a grocery store. There is the elements mall close by and the quickest way to get there is walking through the Austin station and then walking across the pedestrian overpass, this way u bypass all the construction taking place. Overall the stay was excellent and would stay here again if we ever go back with a large group. Thanks again Louis!
First time using airbnb and happy it was a good one! Louis was a great host! He offered great suggestions on places to eat and apt was clean. It was located in near proximity to several train stations. Walking distance to the Temple St Night Market and the Ave of the Stars. Apt had washer along with laundry detergent which came in handy (but note, no dryer but should not be a problem as racks were provided). There were two AC units which kept the room cool and provided relief after coming back from a long day of shopping! Clean blankets were provided. Beds and pillows were decent. wifi had decent signal but had to pay extra (which he clearly stated earlier so had to issues with that). Overall, a great experience!
i really wanna thank Louis for all.... i really felt very very sorry for delaying my check in time as my friends was so engrossed viv shopping in macao b4 heading to his place.... Louis is jz so friendly n helpful n so considerate... i wld definately stay at his place for my next shopping plan in HK.... his place is really clean n tidy n u can b sure u'll hv a gd nite sleep cos its really comfy.... the reason y i chose to stay in an apartment tis trip is bcos i wanna get the feel of living in HK n i Louis' place is really gd... the MTR station is jz right opposite the road, and a 15mins walk southwards, n we r in shopping heaven!!! there's 1 really gd restaurant too serving dim sum, The Sweet Dynasty. though a little pricey but the quality of food is gd... infact around the apartment area, there's a lot of food shops too....
i can oni say, i will go back again next yr fr shopping n i will definately stay in Louis' place.... even my friends agrees viv tis....
The host, louis, was very helpful and kind. He was there when we arrived and even got a taxi for us upon checkout.
The building of the flat was old but the flat was clean and very accessible. The subway was just a few minutes walk away. Shopping area was also very near.
We love this apartment very much. It has everything we need while we are staying. Hair dryer, iron, TV, washing machine, cloth hanger, fridge, rice cooker, electronic cooker, water heater, air-conditioner, boiler, etc are available. It just same as we stay at home as it has everything we need for daily life.
The apartment location's is great. It near MRT of Austin, Jordon and Kowloon. It also has many vegetarian restaurant nearby. We would like to recommend vegetarian dim sum at 三德素食館 Three Virtues Vegetarian Restaurant, 4/F JD Mall (behide Jordon MTR C2 exit).
While we go back, Mr. Louis help us to call a taxi with discounted rate. It is cheaper than we paid before.
Special thanks to Mr. Louis during our stay. Definitely will get back to this apartment if we go to Hong Kong again.
We are very satisfied with Louis' apartment; it was a great experience. The best thing about the apartment is its location: you cannot be more central. It is right next to a West Rail Line station and less than a 5-minute walk from the Jordan station. Temple Street is a 5-minute walk and the Ladies Market is two MTR stations away. We find that the neighborhood around the apartment is very safe and has restaurants that will cater to all tastes. Louis is personable and helpful even though when we arrived, he was just getting off an all night shift at his cafe. Speaking of the cafe, it is a very cool place and serves good quality food. The apartment is spacious and has everything you will need. We didn't use the kitchen but it looks like it's got everything you need if you want to cook there. The washer is a life-saver but there are laundry services two streets away if you don't want to wash your clothes which has a hard time drying in the humid summer weather. We took the A21 bus from the airport and got off at the Prudential Centre stop and walked 5 minutes to the apartment; I think it is the cheapest way to get there. The bonus for taking that bus is that it has WIFI on-board which is extremely valuable if you don't have phone service when you first land in HK.
Louis and his wife stayed with us and were super guests. Very respectful and kind guests. Clean, quiet and a pleasure to host. Totally recommended and hope to have them back soon! Philip & Sofie
Louis is a great man & so friendly..Our flight is touch down in Hong Kong 10.40pm, due to Louis is busy on that day so he arrange his father come & meet us. His father waiting us around 2 hours due to our flight delay..I thought his father will be not around because of our flight delay. At the end, we saw his father still waiting for us..
I like to stay in Louis apartment because the place is very near MTR Station & only 15 minutes walking to Ferry Terminal. So comfortable stay in Louis apartment, because so clean. I will stay again at Louis apartment for my next trip to Hong Kong. Louis, you are so kind & is an excellent host.
I believe Louis' place is the best you can find! Best place, reasonable price, very nice and cozy apartment, and above all, Louis is a very nice person.
Looking for a nice place to stay in HK? You found it!!! Congratulations.
Louis is a great guy. He is a very helpful, responsible, and trustworthy host and friend. Definitely one of the people I will visit the next time I am in HK.
Louis is my eldest cousin and is also one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world. Courteous, kind and generous, he makes not only a great guest but also a very hospitable host. He runs a cafe/bar in TST East which not only attracts new faces all the time, but has maintained a reputation and a knack for making the old ones come back again and again. If that's not a great demonstration of his respect and appreciation for people (his customers, his friends, his family), I don't know what is. One more thing: don't forget to visit Cafe de Fontaine! :)
