I am a native New Yorker, born in bred in Brooklyn. I am thirtysomething and am trying to see every inch of the world I can. I dig the idea of global citizenship (we aren't all that different) and usually learn the most about myself while traveling.
Some of these travels include Brazil, Costa Rica, Thailand, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Montreal, China, Colombia, France, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Morocco and Sweden.
My likes: food, cooking, music ( funk, soul, samba, etc), dancing, good conversations, movies, books, running, and good people.
My dislikes: close-minded people, slobs, liver, milk, bad DJs, colicky babies on planes, people that chew with their mouths open, and people that scream into their cellphones. and truffle flavored anything.
I am a good guy that is a little quirky. When I travel I usually skip the sites (at least tourist traps) and opt for hitting the streets to interact with the locals. This is one of the reasons why Airbnb is so great.
I am fairly proficient in English and have "took for a semester/possibly dropped the course" - level proficiency in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
