Warm, clean and comfortable apartment with everything you could need. I stayed here for 14 days during a work placement in Akureyri.
The neighbourhood was welcoming.
Good bathroom and kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and plenty of Hot water.
If you stay here I would recommend a car hire if possible, I hired a bicycle, the high street supermarkets are reachable on foot but the town is on a steep hill and walking/cycling can take a while.
Overall great accommodation and as described.
Gissur's place was well located (with a car), clean, spacious and well-equipped. His communication before & during the booking was great. The check-in process was easy. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.
Gissur's flat is very comfortable and quiet. Slightly far away from the city center but, should you have a car (and chances are you do), it is just a couple blocks away from one of the main streets leading you there. He gave us complete independence but was there, via e-mail, to solve our doubts and help us with whatever we needed. Great host.
This place was perfect!
We stayed here on our way around the ring road and it was quiet, convenient, clean, had wifi and laundry; it was just what we needed. The bedroom was dark which is just what you want with 23 hours of daylight so we got a great night's sleep.
Gissur was incredibly helpful and wrote back very quickly every time I had a question. Icelanders are so wonderful and Gissur fits right in with that statement.
I highly recommend it.
