We were met by Patrice's uncle, Francis, who is a kind and charming man. The boat is beautiful and perfectly situated for enjoying the beaches and restaurants of Carnon. We were pleased with our stay because we expected the limitations of being on a boat: If you stay here, keep in mind that there is limited space, no air conditioning, noise from the docks and surrounding nightlife, and a delicate toilet and shower system. We ended up preferring the showers and bathrooms of the Capitainerie (port headquarters), which is a 20-second walk down the docks -- the facilities were clean and spacious, though you can't control the shower temperature and it remains lukewarm.
Though the boat can sleep six, the two single berths are rather cramped, and the fore cabin is best suited for one person, though two could fit in a pinch. We were two adults and two children, and fit perfectly. Any more would have been a stretch.
We enjoyed our stay and recommend the boat, provided you are reasonably adventurous, have the proper expectations, and are not more than four adults. Francis even drove us to the train station the morning we left -- after bringing us croissants for breakfast and sharing a cup of coffee with us. Merci beaucoup, Francis!
Patric was at home , for a short time, He was a pleasant person and an excellent guest. I hope to welcome him back again soon.
