I am a public defender in Chicago. My wife is a union plumber for UIC. We are avid outdoorswomen and urban gardeners. We have our sights set on the county. I play some banjo and she plays fiddle/mandolin/guitar. We have two elderly cats. We two-step at the local dive bar on Friday nights. I ride horses (well, only one at a time actually) every Saturday morning. Despite having performed for many years, these days I'm usually in bed by 9:00 p.m. even on the weekends. We don't have a t.v., yet still manage to watch a lot of it via computer: Downton Abbey, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Bobs Burgers, etc. We are both avid readers. I'm currently re-reading Crime and Punishment and last finished The Invention of Wings. Sarah is reading everything German language related in her current quest to become fluent in German. I love road trips. Often alone. We have a communal living space in our basement that we've lent out for free to artist friends in transition, but as of yet have not opened it to airbnb. We appreciate those who have embraced strangers, such as us, into their home.
