Christos had made us feel welcome before we had even left the UK. He answered all the questions I had incredibly quickly and was marvellously helpful.
When we arrived, himself and Anthony greeted us with a bottle of wine! They were so incredibly welcoming and again answered all questions we had. They said we could call them whenever we wanted if we had any problems (of which we didn't!).
Glyfada is absolutely wonderful. The beach is fantastic. We went off season so many things were closed but that was OK because we hired a car (I would definitely recommend this as the buses aren't that good and taxis are expensive). In the summer, though, there are plenty of amenities on the doorstep.
The apartment itself was perfect. Incredible view of the sea and very comfortable. We had a fantastic time.
We arrived in the evening, got the key without any problems and stayed for three nights. The first day we had realy bad weather, but the apartement was so cosy and the beds so comfortable to read a book or watch tv. It was also a wonderful place to enjoy great days at the beach. Christos & Fanny where great hosts, very nice and friendly and offert us a nice bottle of great redwine. The view out of the ocean is spectacular. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a plesant stay at the corfu coast.
We arrived late in the evening and Christos and Fani, welcomed us at reception. Prior to our arrival, they responded quickly to our questions and were very friendly. As they were in person, providing us with complimentary bottles of water. Later on in the week Fani, dropped some slices of delicious homemade cake off for us.
The apartment is lovely, with the added surprise of it being split over 2 floors. The bathroom, bedroom and another balcony were located downstairs. Views from both balconies are amazing and it takes just 5 minutes to walk down to the beach. We were lucky enough to spot Dolphins against the backdrop of a stunning sunset.
We stayed towards the tail end of the season, so Glyfada beach was fairly quiet which we enjoyed. However, it did mean that the beach side tavernas closed around sunset. There is another restaurant located at the end of the bay which stayed open a little later - 9pm. They do serve very fresh and tasty grilled fish.
There are no cash machines in Glyfada, so do bear this in mind. The nearest cash machines are in Corfu town - which is well worth a visit. You can catch a bus from the top of the road, a single trip is €2.20 and takes around 40 minutes.
Two mini markets situated close to the beach, do stock some food basics but no fresh meat, fish.
We really enjoyed our time in Corfu and our stay in the apartment.

We had a really wonderful stay in Corfu, much thanks to the apartment we lived in. It was right on the Glyfada beach, with a perfect sight on the sea, that is on 2 min. walk. The kitchen, living room and the two bedrooms were very spacious but yet cosy, equipped with everything that we needed. The garden around was beautiful. The apartment was cleaned every second day and we had as much towels as we wanted. The hosts were easy to reach and very helpful each time. They show us Soon we started to feel as at home and didn't really wanted to leave.
My husband, out 21 years old daughter and me, we all would like to come to this place again.
Very nice apartments near beautiful and comfortable beach.
We would like to return.
Christos and his wife were great hosts. The flat was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was highly functional. The location is only a 10-minute walk from Ermones beach, which was very nice. Overall, we had a wonderful time.
We were very happy with christos, we feel like at home. he, his wife and his cousin tony were so nice and helped us where they could. we will definitely come back. we found new friends!! thank you so much!!!
Thank you! It was truly a pleasure having you here.We hope to see you again some day.
Christos, Fanni & Anthony
Christos and Fani were great hosts - they met us when we arrived, gave us some lovely fruit and wine and, most importantly, had an amazing flat for us to stay in. It has two amazing balconies overlooking Glyfada beach, a great little kitchen, and is only a five-minute walk down to the beach, which has amazing clear blue water, nice sand, a few restaurants and snack bars, and a great little kiosk with various water-sports and activities (we loved the kayaks!).
The area is a bit cut off -- you have to go up a big hill to get to any other towns. We took the Corfu-bound bus up the hill and then walked a nice couple of km to the town of Pelekas and its great view (and great "Sunset" restaurant). We also took the great motorboat "cruise" to the slightly larger town of Paleokasistra and its monastery (and which also has an ATM, unlike Glyfada).
We ended up cooking more than eating out -- the little shop has no fresh fish or meat but a decent selection of fruit and veg, along with wine, pasta, olives and other staples.
It's amazing. We'd definitely come back.
