Everything was perfect in the appartment!!
Clean, spacious, warm (we needed it because of the weather).
Perfect location : metro to Time Square at 5 minutes walk.
Adrianne is a good communicator and always there if needed.
Definitely recommand the place !
Adrianne was incredibly helpful, and her apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient. I would definitely stay there again.
I was in New York for the Super Bowl and chose Adrianne’s Harlem apartment for our stay. I don’t think I could have chosen a better place to stay. She met us and showed us around the apartment and was able to give us some spots nearby to get something to eat. This was a guy’s trip and there was ample amount of room in the apartment to accommodate us. When it comes to safety, people can tell you that the neighborhood is a safe place, but I have a personal encounter. One night after a night on the town, I dropped my cell phone outside of the apartment after getting out of the car. I looked every ware for it. The next day my mother called my wife telling her that I had lost my phone. A lady that lives on the same block picked up my phone while walking her dog. She saw that the phone had numbers that didn't match New York telephone numbers and wanted to get the phone back to the rightful owner. I was able to connect with her and get my phone back. I wouldn't expect this on the street I live on, none the less Harlem, New York. The next time I’m in New York I will be contacting Adrianne in renting this apartment again.
Response from Adrianne:
Wow! Larry! How cool is that. My neighbors are really great people! Thank you so much for sharing this "testimony" about Harlem and about my neighborhood! You are ALWAYS welcome to stay in my home!!!
Was a very pleasant week
The apartment is very clean and comfortable
I definitely will use it Again
Thank you Adrianne

Adrianne was very helpful. We arrived 2 hours later than
The supershuttle needs 3 hours from Newark. On our
leaving day we take a limo-service for 70 $
We spent our Xmas and New Year holiday at this brownstone visiting the city. It was close to the subway which made getting around convenient. The place was very roomy and spacious for the five of us. Adrianna was a very gracious hostess. We would definitely stay here again.
Adrianne says it herself: When we arrived the second time, we were already family. There's nothing left to review. When we plan to go New York City, the first thing we do is book her apartment, because that's where we want to stay, always.
We were a little apprehensive driving into Manhattan on a Friday night, but just a few turns after crossing the George Washington Bridge we arrived at Adrianne's cozy brownstone.
Adrianne immediately made us feel at home, assisting us to arrange parking and locate amenities. After settling in, we headed a few blocks down Malcolm X Boulevard to Sylvia's ( a neighbourhood must) for dinner.
On Saturday we headed out, on foot, to midtown Manhattan, strolling along Fifth Avenue and through Central Park. Although our walk coincided with a miserable, early winter storm, it was thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
From midtown we visited the usual attractions - Rockefeller Centre, Macy's, Times Square ...... and at the end of our day took the subway from 42nd Street home, I mean back to Adrianne's.
What we enjoyed most about Adrianne's place was the feeling that, after a long day exploring, we were going home. Not an anonymous hotel room, but home.
On our second day we took the subway (from just down the street) to lower Manhattan, and spent another day walking and exploring. A visit to the 9/11 Memorial is moving and a must. Next we boarded the free Staten Island Ferry, followed by dinner at Lombardi's, about an hour walk through the abandoned (it was Sunday) financial district to Spring Street. A nearby subway stop took us back up to midtown, where we finished our day with a trip to the top of the Empire State Building.
Although we visited many of the typical attractions, we vowed on our next trip to spend more time in the neighbourhoods, like Adrianne's, to really immerse ourselves in City life and culture.
We felt too that by staying in Adrianne's brownstone we were able to experience the City a little less like a tourist. We walked with, rode the trains with, ate and shopped with people from Adrianne's neighbourhood. There was even a funeral celebration in the corner church the night we arrived!
We can't say enough about how welcomed we were made to feel, and how comfortable and safe we felt at Adrianne's place during our weekend stay. If you are considering a trip to NYC, please take our advice and stay with Adrianne - you won't regret it!
