We stayed here for 3 nights after Xmas. The apartment was nice and cosy and very central. You have a full time helper that cleans daily Monday to Friday. We were there from a Saturday to Tuesday so we didn't need too much help. We washed and folded all our own clothes.
The house has 3 bedrooms but if you have a family I suggest you request a single bed in the third bedroom as it has a cot in there We were 2 adults and 3 kids so it was a bit of a squash in 2 bedrooms. Alex the host/ owner did agree to put a bed in the bedroom but like we all do from time to time he forgot. We got by as we were only there for a short stay. The neighborhood was very pleasant with easy access to bus and tube.
The house was undergoing some minor alterations that we were unaware of due to some dampness. The main bedroom wall was under repair as we're a majority of the skirting in the house.
The central heating was great and everything was very nice and clean.
There is a bit of noise at night with passing traffic but it was bearable. One must remember though that we live in South Africa on a wine farm so we are not use to too much noise. For the average person though it probably would not be a problem.
There was no cupboard or drawer space to unpack so we sort of lived out of our suitcase. If I was staying longer I would have had a big problem with this.
Lastly to my wife's delight there was no sky sport.
Overall was a 4 out of 5 stay.
This was a lovely three bedroom apartment. It was clean and tidy and the decor was to an excellent standard. The property was only 5 minutes to the tube station and 3 minutes away from a Tesco Express. Alex and his mum were very helpful all the way through the process and made our family stay in London a wonderful one. I would recommend Alex and his property.
The apartment is spacious and posh. It was a great home base for our family of 3 adult couples...the "parents" room is much more glamourous than the 2 "kids" bedrooms but all are adequate with double beds. Lovely fully-equipped kitchen and open living / dining, too. Best of all was the patio which was always cool and breezy; it has a private back gate to the street. The area is busy with several tube stops within a few blocks; there is some traffic noise until evening, but this is to be expected in such a bustling area. Alex and his agent were charming throughout.
Highly recommend this flat. Great location, Great garden. Very spacious and clean. Alex was very helpful even thou he wasn't in London.
This was a very pleasant trip indeed!! Highly recommend people stay here.
AMAZING apartment,GREAT location! The apartment was beautiful and in a perfect location. There is a bus stop right outside the front door, great restaurants and a movie theatre within a very short walk. Alex was a great host, suggesting neighborhoods to explore and places we should eat. We would definitely rent this apt. again.
I would give Alex's apartment six stars if I could! My parents and my friend's family have a great experience here. Every little decoration shows the taste of the host. The kitchen is another reason why I recommend this place so much. It has pots pans everything you will need to cook. We enjoy our cooking time here very much. With a large and beautiful garden, the apartment locates in a very nice block and there is a 24 hour TESCO within 2 minute's walk. Unforgettable momeries in the apartment!!!!!^.^
Amazing place that is even more spacious than appears in the photos. We had two couples and a 9 year old, and we had plenty of space for everyone to be together or separate while in the apt. The garden area is fantastic - no one else used it during the 5 days we were there; it was our own large backyard. While not smack in central London, you are a 15 minute walk to Regent's Park and 30 minutes to Maryleborne. There are cafes, stores and two high streets within 10 minutes, as well as a tube stop for the Bakerloo Line. We would highly recommend this flat to others. Alex was super responsive and friendly; we would seek him out again for a property.
This flat was in an excellent location, and a beautiful property. Host was very flexible in their check-in/check-out requirements. Less than a 10 minute walk to the tube, and a short ride to downtown. So the convenience of everything London has to offer, without being in the middle of the city mess. For us, the best feature was the inclusion of a yard, which our kids loved to unwind in after a long day of site-seeing in London. Nothing like going for a jog in the morning and being able to cross Abbey road crossing as part of the run! St. John's Wood is only about 10 minute walk away, with a huge assortment of shops and restaurants, but if you go in the other direction, make sure you leave one night to go to the Italian restaurant "Red Pepper". A great property, which we would not hesitate staying at in future trips to London.
Great house, great host - work well for our team of colleagues as it was so near Lords, where we were working and super luxurious!
excellent experience. super simple. no fuss. landlord and his agent were always flexible and keen to accommodate. superb all round.
Alex and his family were very friendly, lovely guests and we would recommend them to any other home owner! Communication with Alex and his wife also went very smoothly. All the best to you all!
Great guest! I would recommend him to every apartment owner out there and host him again in a heartbeat!
