Cecilia and her husband should win the AirBnB Guest of the Year Award if there were such thing. During their 7-day stay at my rural house in the Big Bend area of West Texas, there was a 4-5 day electric blackout due to freezing rain storms during the week of Thanksgiving. My house which was rented to them had no electricity, no running water, and no heat—yet they stayed for two of the blackout nights, keeping warm in freezing weather by stoking the wood-burning stove. Even after they escaped into town for 2 nights where electricity had been restored, they returned to my house when the blackout ended. They kept in touch with me throughout to get the latest status on the blackout (I was monitoring the situation from afar), but never did I hear a whine or complaint. They were incredible troopers and made a truly hair-raising event for this host much easier to deal with than it might have been. They left the house in good repair and, in fact, might have helped to keep the pipes from freezing.
Ceiciia was a lovely guest. She was here for an art exhibit and even thought to buy a little book for my kids from the show.
